Did I just see a pink Boba Fett? I get it's a kids show but c'mon guys
That's a mandalorian or a chick with mandalorian armor...
Woah next friday? I'm actually a bit hyped now
Did I just see a pink Boba Fett? I get it's a kids show but c'mon guys
It's just Mandalorian Armor. Only the baddest ass of armor ever conceived by man I'd like a dark gritty version of Star Wars outside of a book. Star Wars has always felt too Comic Bookish, I'd like to see it done as if Paul Verhoeven directed it. Just add some good ol' 80's and 90's type grit to it. I think it would make a decent fit

Plus, there was always the Republic Commando video game.

Anakin was a better protagonist than fucking space Aladdin.
I'm going to watch it and end up watching the show just because it's fuckin Star Wars and I'm going to cum my nerdiness all over it
:vomit:
The Chewbokoharam's look like shit.
this whole rebel theme surrounding it is so fucking cheesy and i'm so tired of the whole attitude this show has for rebels helping everyone like a human rights organization and fighting the imperials like professional jet fighters that never die.

The last shred of interesting this show had from other previews was that the protagonist wasn't going to be another Jedi lightsaberwank fuckwit. And they didn't even go with that. Shit voice acting, shit writing, generic trope characters and no doubt plot as well, I mean shit, you have the incredibly broad idea of rebels and the entire Star Wars universe and you come up with this terrible load of pigshit?
When they first announced it, I thought it would be a simple kid show revolving around Rebel x-wing fighters in the Galactic War. I didn't EXPECT they'd make this abomination

Its basically a kids show. We were lucky that CN was more enlightened to allow darker themes which allowed TCW to grow into a good show. Disney seems like the type to be pretty uncompromising.

While in some cases they do allow things to be darker and mature, there have been plenty of other cases in which they stranglehold something and make it incredibly kid friendly for the sake of being kid friendly. Time can only tell with this, really.
Lol, have any of you even watched it yet? Stop pulling opinions out your ass.

None of them are that great, and most people wanting it to be good generally say Clone Wars had a pretty rough start too. We will have to see, but what we've seen so far and what they keep showing us time and time again just doesn't look good.

Or a suicide bombing? Or an episode where the CIS empire was established as a less evil nation, but rather just seen as the enemy? Or a clone trooper getting chopped in half? They have to keep it kiddy for a few episodes to keep it within the boundaries that they were given. After all, the odds of having anything dark shown in previews is very, very slim. They'll work around it, they always have.

The Clone Wars introduced magic users that could compete with the force users, along with that, we might see Mace Windu in the new Rebels cartoon since long falls don't kill anybody! PT Cameos!!!

It took Clone Wars a while to pick up with real plots and darker events, 'growing the beard' so to speak. But this one's handled by Disney. They may allow the team to stretch their creative legs out again once it expands beyond its beginning, but on the other hand they might restrict them to keeping it 'Space Aladdin'. Hopes are half and half between it being shit, and it getting better later on. But most are agreeing the start's probably.. gonna be very, very rough indeed.
People need to understand that the only major instances of something being kept kid friendly is when it's originally made that way, when it comes to Disney. Even some of their core films (im looking at you hunchback) are filled with some DIRE fucking topics. Just because they made Aladdin or Mickey Mouse doesn't mean they're incapable of making dark shit. Look at Avengers, Marvel films are owned by Disney and there was some really heavy moments in that film.
