I can relate to this video in pretty much every way. Just take the "researching" phase and replace it with "animating", put it after the writing stage, and remove the filming altogether. Everything else, though, is spot on for myself. Especially the beating yourself up and convincing yourself you're a hack-fraud failure and no one likes what you do and no one cares about you. :frown:
Everything else, though, is spot on for myself. Especially the beating yourself up and convincing yourself you're a hack-fraud failure and no one likes what you do and no one cares about you. :frown:
Sounds like Impostor syndrome, I know how that feels. You might be comparing yourself with others in your field, when they may have more experience, and since you only know what they're thinking by what they choose to express honestly, they may seem more professional and even keeled while working. This means you might think that these anxieties and self doubts you have are exclusive only to you, but I've learned many a time that it's not true, it's something everyone goes through. Also, it's funny how people usually go with the harshest possibility of what other people think "no one likes you, etc", even though most people would have more normal and approving attitude and even relate with your plight, but once again, you'd only know by what they choose to communicate. You're no fraud, you're going through what everyone else does when they advance at something.
Yeah, I never get past feeling like I shouldn't bother with it. It's why I've never done anything with youtube.
I relate to this except I never really finish anything. I just constantly feel like I'm never good enough and that I'll never progress or get any better. I don't have that "get back up and finish". I get back up and just start the cycle of self-loathe again.
