A video depicting Jesus being sent to the gas chambers in Auschwitz by Nazi soldiers who describe him as ‘just another Jew’ has been condemned as the “most tasteless Youtube video ever”.
The controversial video, 'That Jew Died for You', was produced by Jews for Jesus, a group dedicated to converting people of a Jewish faith to Christianity, and timed to coincide with Passover, Holyweek and Holocaust Remembrance Day on 28 April.
The three-minute clip, filmed in black-and white, shows terrified Jews being selected for either labour camps or the gas chambers outside Auschwitz gates by sneering Nazi guards.
Jesus, who is filmed in colour, then appears carrying the cross as a guard condemns him to the gas chambers, before muttering “just another Jew” in German.
Jews for Jesus claims the purpose of the video is to challenge "misunderstandings" surrounding Jesus and the Holocaust.

Holy shit that's real!? I only thought it was a joke from fucking Morel Orel
I saw this on YouTube before a video, I hadn't cringed that hard in years.
I think hearing that guy talking German was more then enough cringeworthy
Maybe they should have used sentences that a german would actualy use
south park episode again.
a group dedicated to converting people of a Jewish faith to Christianity
that explains it
I thought those guys were just something Airplane made up.
Weren't nazis convinced that Jesus must've been an Arian instead of Jew or something?
Didn't know Moralton actually exist

And they said jew wouldn't believe it
Tasteful.
I don't think the video is offensive. I think it's stupid and that the group is silly for trying to convert people, but minus Jesus (which, it's a christian group, let's be honest, it happens.), they did a pretty good job of making it seem morbid.
Maybe I'm giving them too much slack?
Why is it dumb to try and convert people? If you believe that not believing in Jesus will send you to hell, it would be dumb and evil not to try and convert everyone you can.

Believing that God is benevolent but will send you to hell for the crime of not being the right religion is its own level of stupid.

A Honest Question.
Did you honestly think about your own question before writing that post?

Yes.
I'm just trying to defend the actions of the people behind this group. They're not nutjob zealots or manipulators or anything. They're probably decent, sincere people who actually want to save others from damnation.

Not entirely, the Nuremburg Laws had a clause that made approx. three people exempt from them, that was Adolf Hitler himself, Hitler's former CO from WWI, and Jesus Christ during the Second Coming. However, the Nazis were convinced that Jesus had come to resent other Jews for killing him.
Genuinely believing that none-believers will go to hell to suffer for eternity and not putting any effort into converting people makes you kind of an ass.
Don't have much of an opinion with the video, but that last part when "that jew died for you" turned into "thatjewdiedforyou.com" made me laugh so hard, it was almost like south park parody humor to me.
Jesus was a worthless Jew. Become a Christian today!

Talk about loopholes.
that is the laziest concentration camp ever, there are like 6 guards there
God would just resurrect Jesus if he died so what is the harm exactly
They missed a golden opportunity to call it "Jew it for Jesus"

That's what bothers me about the story of Jesus.
God sends His son to Earth.
Jesus lives his life preaching his Father's word.
Jesus gets crucified and "dies for us".
Jesus comes back from the dead.
Jesus goes home.
So really, what did Jesus sacrifice in the end?

his time and some of his dignity

Also individuals born to an "Aryan" parent and a Jewish parent could technically apply for exemption from the Nuremberg Laws and be officially recognized as Aryan. If the spouses were married before 1935, they were called "Privileged Spouses" and received official exemption (There was an attempt to deport them in 1943 in Germany, though.)
If you had more than 2 Jewish grandparents you were considered fully Jew and fell under the Nuremberg Law provisions, so there were an absolute fuckton of loopholes. Apparently if Hitler had decided to eliminate every single person of any Jewish ancestry, the army would have lost thousands of men and there would have been significant public unrest.
i love my orange jews concentrated.

The fact that he was openly ridiculed by everyone as a heretic, whipped, made to carry a fucking huge wooden cross through the streets of the city in the desert heat (whilst being ridiculed and whipped), then nailed to said cross, and left hanging on it for days in said desert heat, whilst more people ridiculed and stabbed him until he eventually suffocated because of the constant pressure on his ribcage?
I mean, that sucks, resurrection or no.

Thousands upon thousands of other enemies of Rome suffered identical punishment, and they didn't get to come back to life later. If this is supposed to show god forgiving all humanity somehow, I'm not impressed.

I consider myself a Christian, and I think that instead of wasting your time trying to convert people you could just spend that time trying to actually apply Jesus' teachings and be a better person.
