Either District 9 or Up for me.
Mmm. I will have to choose District 9
hurt locker all the way. amazing film.
Either District 9 or Up for me.
I'd have to agree...but choosing between them...I think I'll go with Up.
a serious man should win (or an education) but it won't. also, the blind side is the biggest fucking joke. could have gone to 500 days or moon
a serious man should win (or an education) but it won't. also, the blind side is the biggest fucking joke. could have gone to 500 days or moon
yeah! Where the fuck is Moon? forgot about that masterpiece!
Avatar was pretty, but much of it was cliche. I loved district 9, even though some of it was also cliche. In the end I think D9 was better.
wow, didn't know that District 9 would beat out Up and Avatar for god sake! thought facepunch was dumber than this! :D
Hopefully The Hurt Locker or Inglourious Basterds wins the best picture.
I have yet to see moon. It's on the todo list Also I hear blind side is really really good. I don't think it should win though since the story was already pretty much done before in both movie and book form. Anyways, I voted D9. I also hear UP is really really good too (has a few powerful emotional parts I hear), but that's something I haven't seen either. D9 though was a sci-fi action movie I've never really seen done before. It reminds me of a modern day "Day the Earth Stood Still" in a strange sort of way.
Inglorious Basterds was beautiful. I hope it wins.
The Hurt Locker. and Avatar ain't got shit on shit yo!
Gotta be Up, absolutely stunning film... also it's only the second ever animation to be nominated for Best Picture since Beauty And The Beast. I think it's what Pixar have been working towards for the past 15 years, if it wins it'll make animation history. It was an absolutely stunning film in every way, the characters, the story, the visuals, the music... epic. The Hurt Locker was a close second for me, but I liked it so much for the fact that "they" said it would flop, when in fact it's become one of the biggest indie movies ever.
I would say Hurt Locker. Runner up will either be Up or D9.
district 9 or inglorious basterds
I voted for Up. I haven't seen The Hurt Locker yet. I've seen everything else on the list besides The Blindside. D9 was terrific, but not as powerful as Up. Avatar was just "pretty". Up in the Air was awesome. Inglorious probably has some of the best dialogue I have ever seen. Still Up was the most powerful movie on there. I didn't particularly enjoy the other titles quite as much as Up. Shame Moon isn't on there, but due to the limited audience I doubt it would win (I still prefer Up over it, but Moon was amazing).
I voted for the Hurt locker, it was a brilliant film.
Dammit where is Zombieland? EDIT: Oh man I did not see 2010. How can they have pictures for 2010 when we are only two months in to the year? If that is the case why are movies from 2009 on the list?
district 9 or hurt locker
Hopefully The Hurt Locker or Inglourious Basterds wins the best picture.
Yeah... I was thinking the same thing.
if Avatar wins I will never give a shit about the Oscars again.
if Avatar wins I will never give a shit about the Oscars again.
I stopped giving a shit about the Oscars when they gave so many awards to "An Inconvenient Truth".
I hope the Bastards win.
if Avatar wins I will never give a shit about the Oscars again.
Avatar may win just because of the great "revolution" it cause in the movie industry. Though I vote for D9.
District 9 all the way.
Inglorious Basterds. And I hope Christoph Waltz gets the Oscar for his performance in it too.
I didn't like district 9, kind of boring in my opinion.
I haven't seen any of these.
I didn't think District 9 was that great... Maybe it's because I got it on DVD...but yeah... Up for me.
Christoph Waltz should win an Oscar.
And I hope Christoph Waltz gets the Oscar for his performance in it too.
high5
