Joe Biden has a new job.
The University of Pennsylvania announced on Tuesday that the former vice president has been named the Benjamin Franklin Presidential Practice professor, where he'll be leading the brand-new Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, focusing on foreign policy, diplomacy, and national security.
"Joe Biden is one of the greatest statesmen of our times," University of Pennsylvania president Amy Gutmann said on Tuesday. "In his distinguished career of service to our nation, he has demonstrated a unique capacity to bring people together across divides and to craft constructive responses to some of the toughest and most important policy challenges of our day."

If anyone deserves a rest it's Joe Biden, that man dedicated his life to public service and life did not reward him for it. He's been through a lot.
Now is the worst possible time or Biden to stop working. He has 4-8 years ahead of him, minimum.
Good old Uncle Joe is someone you can really look up to. That's some good work ethic right there.
I dislike joe after he publicly advocated hunting Snowden
imagine your professor being joe fucking biden
that's a sight to see

I can't even imagine what it would be like to walk up to him after class. "Excuse me Mr. Former Vice President, I was wondering exactly how far to read in the textbook this week." How would you even approach the man?

Might've had something to do with the fact that Snowden recklessly and purposefully compromised our country's national security secrets and leaked more than a million documents, the majority of which had nothing to do with private interests but were directly related to our intelligence operations defense programs. Naturally, throwing these kinds of documents out there for the world to see (especially our adversaries, Russia and China) isn't a good thing in any sense of the term.
He's not a whistleblower. People need to stop calling him that. Real whistleblowers comb the information they have and only release what's pertinent, and they do their best to make sure that no innocent people will get caught up in the fallout that ensues. He never did that; he just dumped close to 1.5 million documents and ran as fast as he could away from the country. Having said that, he sure as hell isn't a hero either.
Biden, on the other hand, has spent his life serving the United States in some fashion or another. And while he's a politician (so naturally isn't perfect), he's done a lot more good for this country than Snowden ever did; for that matter, he's continuing to do good by becoming an educator.
So is Diamond Joe gonna park his Firebird out front and pick up college chicks?
Was hoping he'd come to UofD but still proud of him
