El Witcherino if you're not into the whole brevity thing
this will most likely blow hard but atleast it will almost certainly be a fun flick
Nothing with Jeff Bridges will ever blow hard.
I'm a Witcher Maaaan.
What a terribad trailer
ahh I remember a post a while back that was basically "Jeff Bridges is starring in a new movie. He is essentially a wizard". So this is that movie then. Looks good if a bit ridiculous.
I thought this was related to The Witcher at first, and spent the entire trailer thinking "What are they doing?"
lookin like the african hunter from Jumanji

They're calling the city guards, man. Put the sword away.
looks like another clash/wrath of the titans [editline]13th July 2013[/editline] is that jon snow at 0:29-0:33?
and this is apparantly based off a children's book. HOW THE FUCK DID I MISS THAT?
god that trailer is making me sick with all those fadeouts and black screens
What's with the way people make trailers these days. industrial/orchestra score, increasing tempo, accentuation through Chello Braah's/brass/synths in rhythm with cuts from action sequences and dialogue in between that says fuckall about the plot. Jesus, enough with this shit
You guys still don't get "it", you expect every movie to be the next Godfather, Casablanca, Pulp Fiction or Scarface... And get dissapointed everytime and shouting "THIS SUCKZ". The fact is that these hollywood movies are made to a specific demographic and are made to be just entertaining. No, it won't win any awards and no it won't be amazing but that doesn't matter because all these movies do is to give you a spectacular show formula for 120 minutes.

I rarely ever enjoy fantasy especially fantasy movies but I dig it so far. As long as it doesn't fall short in too many ways it'll be fine. The problem with a lot of movies that aim to be "fun" and entertaining is they have piss-poor direction and completely fail at what they intended to do either due to being lazy and wanting quick money or just falling short in too many areas. Transformers is obviously the easiest target to choose but because it's so blatantly obvious why it's bad. It's possible to get solid, simple movies like Die Hard but they are far and few between just like instant classics or award winning movies. When you don't have an actual heart and soul in your movie it shows through the work of the crew and the performance of the cast. Pacific Rim would be a prime example of a movie that can, looking at it in a basic way, be a silly OTT action movie and still have a heart to it all. It can still make you care about characters while giving you that spectacle.

[editline]14th July 2013[/editline] For me at least, if a trailer looks interesting, I'll look up the film afterwards to get the overview.
Eh, I don't think it can compare to Pacific Rim in terms of awesome, mindless action, but I'll probably go see it because it does look pretty cool.
lemme guess, a witch seduces the rookie and causes the rookie to do something bad only to have jeff bridges show up and save the rookie at the last moment
I thought this was based on The Witcher, but aparently it's based on a series of children/young teenager books by some australian called rangers apprentice. I've read some of those, the rangers where essentially scouts who guarded borders NOT monster hunting Witchers.
Jeff Bridges could do Gandalf
Jeff Bridges could do Gandalf
"Watch as Jeff Bridges strokes Gandalf's big white staff"... he certainly could do him.
Jeff Bridges could do Gandalf
This just makes me want to see John Goodman as Mad eye Moody and Steve Buscemi as Snape
Jeff Bridges could do Gandalf
you've got the wrong wizard; i'm the Grey, man
