Looks alright for an early build. Not my jam, but certainly looks kinda appealing.
The animations and the camera movement seems pretty neat but I was hoping for something that would show off more of what the game actually is. Is it gonna be another survival-type game? Are there some kind of preset factions that you chose to join? What's your goal during any of it?
Guns look like they could use a little more recoil. Reminds me of a mix between Stalker and insurgency
Apparently its an narrative based MMO that mixes "FPS and TPS elements"
I really hope its not like DayZ and its more like Insurgency in terms of round based games.
And i hope its an MMO the way War Thunder is an "MMO"

Why would you want it be yet another round based "mmo" game? There's already a billion of those games out there, I'd rather have this be something interesting.
Wow the graphics looks really nice, love the way shadows cast on the interior
Looks really cool honestly,I wonder if there will be a single player campaign though

Of course there won't be, why would there be a singleplayer campaign in a game like this?
ugh why does it have to be an mmo
Seems similar to Survarium.
Escape From got me excited and I thought it might be about Snake Plissken
I'd like this if it's actually properly open world, if that's the case is yet to be seen.
Might be cool as a Battle Royale game. Last man (team?) standing gets to "escape"
Looks like an interesting idea, sadly it's another PVP FPS.
I like how it looks but the fact that it's a free to play MMO shooter turns me away from this. When has one of these ever been successful or even good?

Warface, Blacklight Retribution and A.V.A (like 5 years ago) were all pretty decent. Only problem with, well, all of them was the whole "pay 2 progress faster than a snail's pace"/pay2win-ish aspect, in addition to hackers.
holy shit, actual scopes!
recoil's shitty though
I've been waiting a long time for an "anarchy" MMOFPS that actually works. I have really heavy doubts that this is going to be the one, but here's hoping?
From what the two trailers have shown there are three factions- bandits, USMC, and Russian military, so that might circumvent the usual problem of "no groups form because everyone has been trained to murder everyone else on sight"
Really liked the contrast in speech between US guys and Russians.
Guns look like they could use a little more recoil. Reminds me of a mix between Stalker and insurgency
The guns seemed to have quite a bit of vertical recoil. Just that the gun moved up from the recoil more than the camera did.
But it's almost getting annoying when so many modern shooters are bound to AK's and M4's due to a striving for realism.
You can use an AK without the top cover :v:

You can also replace the top cover with ham IRL.

This is made by the guys who were making the Russia 2028 mod/game for CryEngine. I remember seeing screenshots of it a while back.

Since they made Contract Wars in Unity, I wonder what engine they're developing for now. The lighting engine in the trailer reminds me of UE4.
I wonder what the story is about.
i hope you can't play in third person like it shows at 4:19.
games that have both first person and third person always just ends up being people playing in third person and hiding around corners.
From the STALKER thread:
Don't bother with [Escape from Tarkov]. At least, that's what I'd like to say.
It's from shitty developers. I've played their current game for 4 years straight; They don't listen to the community, are money hungry and they've got 2 other titles which seem to be dropping in popularity as we speak.
These are "Contract Wars" and "Russia 2028", of which the latter is probably secretly canceled and the first they're trying to desperately safe with constant GP discounts for 'rentable' skills. 30 pen is a rent, which increases the amount of armor deflection takes place. Most guns have 25 BASE pen, let alone you're able to get +7 from a skilltree and +7 from a clan. That makes +44 pen if you rent. GG fair game mechanics :p (I've been a renter, it's easymode)
Early this year they lost loads of employees and it's just a team of a few trying to gain as much $$$ as possible for whatever reason.
I'm thinking this'll be something similar to The Division in terms of gameplay, which is cool; but if the devs are as shitty as cdr posted, count me out :l
From the STALKER thread:
Contract Wars is a different beast, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I'll go full skeptical if they announce it as a F2P game, which is probably very likely
This looks really cool, I love the US vs. Russia speech, makes the firefight seem more organic

for pre-alpha it's fucking beautiful too
