Pena Nieto invited both Trump and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton to meet with him, his office said in a statement Tuesday night.
Trump has made his promise to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border a cornerstone of his campaign, saying frequently at rallies that Mexico would pay for the wall.
In July, Pena Nieto told CNN that it would be impossible for Mexico to fund Trump’s proposed wall.

The wall negotiations have begun!
If negotiations go well he'll come back with a blank check from the Bank of Mexico.
I hear the people of Mexico very much like Trump
"I will not build this fucking wall"
I am actually very interested in what comes out of this.
This is going to be Khan 2.0 isn't it?
The Mexican President is hugely unpopular, 23% favourbility rating, and Donald Trump is coming what is the logical ending for this.
i don't think there is one
Neato he's meeting Neito
trump is beyond stupid if he thinks this is going to turn out well for him
"I will not build this fucking wall"
To be fair that was an ex president of Mexico who said that.
This all feels like the origin lore for the wall in game of thrones...
In all seriousness though, i feel mexico thinks trump would be a better president for their interests thus inviting him over to give his candidacy validity with mexican immigrants, or at least they want to be prepared when trump gets voted in concerning that whole 'you gonna pay for that' deal.
I feel this will get interesting to follow.

people keep saying that for some reason, he is not doing super duper atm but he still is the second most likely candidate to win the presidential elections with 5 points behind.

What in god's name could possibly make you think this?

My guess would be that he believes the wall will cut the supply of drugs/guns out of and into mexico consequently decreasing cartel power.

Cartel less money = less crazies firing AKs in the middle of towns. But the wall will probably bankrupt mexico anyway.
The idea that mexico will pay for the wall is laughable, its pure fantasy.

I'm 90% sure this is the opposite of what Mexico thinks when Trump wants them to borderline wreck their economy for some wall and when Trump is inciting hatred against the people of Mexico.
Also, if we use 5 points as in 5 percent of Americans, that's still 15 million citizens behind.

ok, then i was wrong in assuming.
The cartels are gonna kidnap Trump!
