Might be good, might be shit, but fact is I loved 300's style and action scenes even though it was a meh film in itself (imo).
Zach Snyder isn't directing (and no Leonidas...). The new guy hasn't done much at all, so I have no idea what to expect. I just hope it turns out good.
It's about the [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Artemisium]Battle of Artemisium[/url]... And from the looks of it, Greek Fire is being used. Yup I'm sold.
I still remember when the internet, especially FP, fell in love with 300. Seeing this makes me feel old. It's definitely going to have the same cheesy acting as the first film, but it also surely looks to please with its special effects and aesthetics.

Geez I never realized Greek Fire was that old. I always thought it was a medieval Byzantine invention, apparently it was used as early as the 9th century BC, in a very different form but still.

We were always trying to find very "mythical" ways of killing each other. IIRC, the first hand grenades were just ceramic faces full of pissed off scorpions.

I would prefer it was simply 300 but this should be fun right? I mean the first movie was memorable thanks to the cheesy acting and Leonidas and his quotes which were fun to mess with. This one seems like it's going to be a movie that is going to be forgotten really fast

I'll probably go see it, no doubt. But something doesn't sit well with me, maybe it's just because I'm a giant Frank Miller fan.

This movie looks really good. Im a big fan of Ancient Greece and history in general but these type of movies are always enjoyable.

No matter how cheesy or what other people say about these movies, certainly a great style and wonderful to watch.
I hope this one is as good as the first one, I didn't really expect there would be a second, even after all these years. Time flies!
