At the risk of channeling Aidan_088, child abuse and paedophile are ridiculously loaded terms. People hear it and imagine someone having sex with a literal child (like 7 years old), when a lot of times the victims are in their low to mid teens. Obviously having sex with people at that age isn't a good thing, but it's certainly different in terms of public perception. If the news came out and said that someone had sex with a 15 year old, the collective disgust probably wouldn't be as huge. The chances of then all being ~12 is pretty fucking low. A few maybe, but not most of the subjects in that album.
