Hey guys, long time no see, hope you're all good!
I am here not for myself, but for my Dad. In a nutshell: just over a month ago he was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer. He's having trouble sleeping, he can get to sleep easy enough but constantly wakes up and can't to get back to sleep. Whether that's due to the chemotherapy, medication or worrying, I'm not sure, but it's making him tired in the day time and effecting him even more. I want to help stop it before it turns into a vicious cycle.
My plan is to buy a vaporiser in the hope it'll help him sleep easier. He doesn't smoke tobacco, but he's smoked joints with me on a few occasions in the past. I figure that vaping it would be a lot smoother than smoking. I know it's stupid but I'm also secretly hoping the cannabinoids in his blood will help slow it down or something. I know it doesn't really work like that but I'm desperate, I'll try anything to keep my Dad for longer. Failing that I'd at least like to help with his quality of life, such as the sleeping.
So, do any of you know of any decent vaporisers at a reasonable price? One that's quick and simple to use would be perfect, I really don't know much about them. I'm not looking for some super high tech thing, just something that does the job.
Thanks :)
Extreme Q vaporizer by Arizer. Cost me $200 and is the best vape I've ever used next to the Volcano but the cano is ~$500. I don't know if this site ships to the UK but I bought it from them and their site has a "performance evaluation" for every vape they sell so it gives you an idea on what product to get even if you don't buy it from them.

Hope your father recovers from the cancer, stay positive.

Only ships to the US & Canada.
Anyway, there are some pretty good vapes out there you just gotta look at all the reviews and check online. I don't own one and don't intend on owning one so I don't think I can help you here.
Good luck.
Iv'e got a MFLB myself its simple to use easy to repack works great and is the cheapest! plus there's plenty of great communities out there to help someone learn how to use it and stuff!.. you can probably even get it on sale on some of these forums i'm talking about.
Go for the Arizer Extreme Q like SuperNatural said, or get the Solo.
I love the solo, it is very easy to use, and portable.
If he has oesophegal cancer, I wouldn't really reccommend any forms of smoke if you want to be on the safe side; try making some foodies for him. Firecrackers are an easy one, and I've microwaved weed into cheese on toast before and it worked.

I can say that vaporizers do still irritate the throat a bit, but it's definitely not smoke, it's vapor (obviously!). I know people with lung cancer use vaporizers so I don't think it should be a big concern, of course, edibles may be a better solution depending.
Also, hey again Tania.
Just don't buy an MFLB.
Just don't buy an MFLB.
MFLB was the worst thing I've ever purchased, I don't even understand how so many people all hyped it up like "Oh yeah man my MFLB is the shit" like no, it IS shit. Probably a bunch of people trying to hide how upset they are that they wasted $150
Viral marketing.
Why is it so shit ?
How is the Magic Flight Launch Box shit?
Over priced, not stealthy, low build quality, no temperature control, shitty design, etc, etc.

Priced well with life-time warranty against user stupidity, smallest vape, any altitude and the portability is outstanding.
"Priced well" lol. It costs over $100 to buy and costs them less than a few dollars to manufacture. I sure as hell hope it'd come with a warranty with a price gouge like that.
Small is good but it doesn't matter because you're not being stealthy fiddling with batteries and exposed wiring.
All you've done is repeat the shit they say on the mflb website, look into vaporizers a little more and you might realize how much of a waste of money the mflb is.
Don't get me wrong though, I own one myself, it's an okay vape once you figure out just how to use it properly. But that's all it is: just okay. I got a vape off Amazon for $30 with temp control and everything and it was infinitely better of a purchase than the mlfb. Thank God I bought mine used.

I thought that too until I realized it doesn't make a difference when it barely works. Don't get me wrong, whatever floats your boat, it's just the is more likely to sink your boat all titanic style

If you for some reason NEED a portable vape, you can do a lot better than the MFLB. It's just hyped.
What about the Atmos Jr? I'm looking into getting one.
I personally use a pax and love it. But I think your best bet would be low dosed edibles.

The extreme q would probably be your best bet. My buddy has one and its fucking awesome. Another nifty thing about it is that you can hook it up to any water pipe with a glass on glass joint. Vaporizers still irritate your throat a bit, and the ability to hook it up to a water pipe makes it so much smoother. Edibles would also be something worth looking in to, they last way longer.
Give him concentrated cannabis oil
