I feel James might need to stay clear of VR char for a few days to avoid this mass-following of people who just get in the way and follow him everywhere. Unless he enjoys the attention, of course.
God, VRChat is so much fucking fun, I've been playing it for the past couple days. It fills the hole in my heart for Gmod RP and other games like that where you just fuck around, but it's got a lot more of a chill vibe depending on the people you meet. It's also so small that it's likely you'll meet the same people you met the day before or even some of the youtubers. i actually met jamskii a couple days ago, and he was super cool, but when he invited all of us to his house the server lagged to less than 1 frame a second and was a nightmare lol
it's great cause it's unauthored shitposting with a bit of a bar of entry, so it's like a higher quality shitposting. every day i go in, there's some new story i can tell, like the time i got involved in a ronald mcdonald cult, or got involved in a trial between a can of beans and a russian copy of windows 95. like, god, it's that perfect sense of weird combined with the great community that makes it so much fun.
I sat in the cafe from Persona 5 as Dale Gribble, crouch walking all over the countertops until about 20 Ronald McDonalds came bursting in all at once and took me to the Ronald dimension where I joined the Ronald McCult and spent the next hour on a crusade to convert others to Ronaldism.
Pretty good game.
That fucking Ed Edd n Eddy music

I keep hearing about the barrier to entry, and I'm still not sure what it is. Is it related to how you get models into the game?
It would be good if it's something like that, because it prohibits a sort of playerbase quality stagnation that affected gmod over time.

You dont really need to make your own model (unless you want to) as you can "borrow" models from worlds and such.
also you dont even need VR so thats not the barrier or entry.
I hope he does another video with more clips, these guys were legends

Sounds like my kind of game. Now to invest into VR.
To be honest, VRchat alone is worth the price of VR, and I bought the Vive before there were any discounts
This game makes me laugh harder than I have in years.
Similar to the Ronald cult, I joined a cult of cats the other day. We got up to about 20 before we started raiding worlds

VRchat's only barrier of entry TBH is a microphone and a talkative mood
VRChat is amazing, I love it. Every time I've logged on, I've had an adventure by pure happenstance. 90% of the time, I don't teleport to any particular people to force the issue, I just go with the flow and always end up finding some craziness to be a part of.
As far as cults go, I once came across a bunch of knights (heard from others that they had just got done fighting with a bunch of solid snakes in some sort of turf war) about to head out on another crusade. There was some anime girl harassing them, and one of them suddenly goes "I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS THOT" and starts wailing on her, the others joining. I, a respectable member of society, joined in too and whooped her ass.
Apparently that was not enough of an incentive to be a part of the crusade without being a knight. Oh well.
i played at like 2am for the first time last week and i saw a giant 20 ft bunny girl telling everyone they arnt hot shit and then got attacked by anime school girls while they played this
pretty good

As someone that was apart of the mass following in his video from before this one, he seems to love showing off his weird avatars to people, and it does lead to some funny moments, like the ones shown in the video.
No Orkel?
