Jesus christ
That seems extremely dangerous.
That seems extremely dangerous.
are you telling me guns are dangerous right now
Guns that are manufactured to be as perfect as possible can still blow up in your face. A homemade gun just seems like a bad idea. One mistake in making it and you could blow up half the gun sending shrapnel everywhere.

Which is why it's only attempted by experienced and educated people who clearly know how to make things like this.

Surely he ran through quite a few test runs and models of the final gun before putting the finishing touches on the final unit. It's not your average garage gun.
It looks cleaner and better than most actual guns with rails and shit
Holy fuck you could blow someone's head off with that thing, too.

Nah, it's perfectly safe!
I insist, you should aim it at your cat, won't do a thing.

"Blow up in face"
Uhh, rarely happens, but if you don't clean and manage the gun, then you kind of have it coming.

Was about to say it reminded me of fallout.
Holy mother of shit, .70 cal?! Out of a homemade gun?!
Aren't .50 calibur rounds supposed to be able to take out tanks?!

Explosive .50s can take out light vehicles with well placed shots.

the .50 round is designed to penetrate lightly armored vehicles, it would never be able to take down a tank.

Not even if it shot the tank in the rear where the engine usually is?
Not even if it shot the tank in the rear where the engine usually is?
The only damage it could do to a tank is taking out its optics, if I remember correctly at 500 yards it has enough force to penetrate 1/2 inch of armor.
Though I don't know much about modern tanks, they might not have that much armor at the rear.
Reminds me of that Half-Life 2 beta sniper rifle.

They can take out light armored vehicles (presumably by killing the driver or penetrating some critical piece like the fuel tank or an exposed drive shaft). The only thing they'd really be able to do to a tank is destroy the optics, break the lights, or ruin any of the crap that is being stored on the outside of the tank, like jerry cans for fuel.
