The Joy of Painting is an American television show hosted by painter Bob Ross that teaches viewers basic techniques for landscape oil painting. Although Bob Ross could complete a painting in half an hour, the intent of the show was not to teach viewers speed painting. Rather, he intended for viewers to learn certain techniques within the amount of time that the show was allowed. The show lasted until Ross's death in 1995.
Does anybody remember this show? It fucking kicked ass! I used to come home from school and watch re-runs of this.
I can't find any of the episodes on youtube, but I found some video clips that give the feel to some people who haven't seen it before.

His voice is so soothing.
I remember this. My grandma would always watch this guy. I didn't like the show.
There's a banned FP'er named Bob Ross. And banned Bob Ross V2. :v:
I honesly find his show facinating. Any other show that involves painting and the such I would probably be bored to death, but not him, I always like whatever he did, no matter what.
Good god yes, awesome show.
Oh man, my sister used to watch Bob Ross all the time when I was little, I used to think it was boring, but now I love it, part of it is nostalgia, and part of it is just watching him paint happy little clouds and trees, it's cute.
It kind of makes me want to paint things too, since he makes it look so easy.
I have like 4 full episodes of this show on my iPod.
I also did a report on one of his paintings my 7th grade year.

If only there was a Youtube version without the shitty intro. :Dawkins102:
Me and my brother saw an episode of this while he was playing some racing game, and we were so amazed at how simply he created water that my bro crashed.
Bob Ross always dominates the room while present.
Fuck man, I remember balling my eyes out when I heard he died.
Wait WHAT? HE FUCKING DIED? NOOOO!

I don't know why but when ever I think of him and the TV show it makes me sort of sad.

Oh god the butter knife
I would get so frustrated as a kid, because he would make painting seem so incredibly easy, yet whenever I'd try it, my paintings would look NOTHING like his.
Bob Ross was a slick fellow. I remember Homestar Runner parodying him.
I wouldn't mind getting into painting because of him. Problem is that the paints are so fucking expensive.
his voice makes me jizz

The hell? $10-20 will last you months,
I wish I saved that Bob Ross creepypasta I read a while back.
It involved the camera man watching Bob stick his paintbrush up his nose and painting something with his blood. Then he slowly turned to the camera and mouthed the words "shut it off".
"we don't want pure white that would be disturbing"
Bob Ross paints like a pro, yet still has time to make it seem interesting.
He was an awesome artist.
RIP my Afro buddy.
