This has probably been asked before and I would search but for some reason my account has severely limited privileges, I can't use search bar etc.
Anyway, I am about to go to my first Airsoft session in the UK, specifically the one in Scotland, Aberdeen. So first off, any tips I should know of? I'm going equipment-less since this is my first time. I hire the equipment which gives me full face mask, overalls and an AEG, with a 400 round mag. So any tips that I should know of?
Secondly, what is the best place online to order two tone guns. Yes two tone, this could last a while considering I'm only 16 so I can't get a UKRA license for two more years. What about equipment, such as tactical vests? This is of course if I actually enjoy it this Sunday.
I was eyeing this up but I thought I should try and get a hold of a mid capacity mag since I heard the high one's rattle alot when running.

Yeah I am shopping on a slightly small budget just to get started, then I can think about upgrading my budget later on. Preferably £200 budget.
I apologies in advance if I sound very inexperienced, I'm new and like to observe this forum which is why I decided to get into airsoft.
Thanks in advance as well.
Firstly before everyone jumprapes you about not posting in the question thread, you probably should've posted in the question thread but your questions are easy enough anyway.
1 - Never order anything from justbbguns, actionhobbies, https://bbguns4less.co.uk/ etc. all these are fucken god awful shitty things that will break and are meant for backyard plinking.
2 - http://www.airsoftworld.net/ http://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/ http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/ are good places to get two tone guns as well as any simple equipment you may need.
3 - http://www.uktactical.com/ for some very high quality vests/harnesses but you can't go wrong with ebaying a crossdraw or something cheap if you're on a small budget.
4 - Prepare to get hit alot in your first game and try and stick with your team and take note of what they do. Stick to cover, rush people wherever possible so on and so forth.
5 - Feel everyone's scorn myself included for having a two tone airsoft rifle.
6 - Say hello to scoutthedoggie for me :) I think he does some videos in these whereabouts.
:zoid:
Well bugger, how did I miss that. Also fair note on the sites even if the new ones are a fair more expensive.
I noticed airsoftworld and it does look like a decent site my go for the G&G M4A1 Carbine, since alot of the vests are designed for the M4A1, it also makes finding mags a little bit easier.
Thanks for the tips, I will try to keep that in mind. I also figured that having two tone guns would make me "inferior" per say.

Another reason I got into airsoft ;) However he is usually down in the dundee parts and doesn't really come up into my neck of the woods.
I hate to be a faget but there's honest to god a relation between having a two tone rifle and somehow never being able to be hit by BBs. Needless to say most people under 18/two tone armed up seem to enjoy ruining the game.
Break the stereotype for me.
flecktarn.co.uk are very good and carry a wide range of clothing, vests, bag, pouches, misc stuff, etc.

Nothing wrong with action hobbies, they started off pretty poorly, but there's nothing wrong with them now. My CYMA M14 and ARES G36 came from there so did Ereunity's CYMA AK and my other friend's snow wolf barrett, no problems with any of them. (in terms of ordering/delivery/purchase, before ereunity mentions the problems his AK has had with the hop up.)
I know a lot of the people i play with who've ordered from them with no problems, so they're as legit as anywhere else.

I will.
(in terms of ordering/delivery/purchase, before ereunity mentions the problems his AK has had with the hop up.)
Only issue I had with actionhobbies is that the CYMA AK was too powerful so the spring had to be cut back to bring it into site fps limits. The hopup problem wasn't actionhobbies fault, rather CYMA's.
(Though it was cut back wrong, some teeth were not removed from the piston, it snagged, gears exploded. Replaced with a new steel gearset and purchased a TM Hop up to improve some feeding issues I was having with lighter ammunition and it's all good.)
Seems if I want to look at equipment and guns the budget may need to stretch to £300. :\

You can get good guns for under £200.
G&G Combat Machine range I hear are excellent starter guns without all of the problems of cheap chinasoft. But really at the end of the day you'll end up finding a particular gun you want and you'll probably buy a loadout based around the gun.
If all else fails m4 + dpm everything can't really go wrong and it's all cheap as fuck.

More of the fact that gun and equipment costs combined not just gun.

Tbh I am quite partial to the M4, I am looking at Car 15 or M1A1 as my dream guns but hey, baby steps. Finding DPM is finding troublesome without breaking the budget, I'm looking at this
http://www.airsoftworld.net/dpm-tank-suit-special-offer.html
Unless there is something else that's cheaper or more sensible, then using this as a vest
http://www.airsoftworld.net/tactical-equipment/tac-vests-accessories/viper-vms-assault-vest-platform.html
Then perhaps getting dump bag and I guess these ammo holders
http://www.airsoftworld.net/tactical-equipment/tac-vests-accessories/pro-force-double-quick-release-mag-pouch-multicam.html
http://www.airsoftworld.net/tactical-equipment/tac-vests-accessories/viper-dump-pouch-bag.html
I mean does that seem sensible? Is there anything or somewhere else that I should go to get this stuff.
Literally google army surplus and you'll find a crap ton of places selling DPM everything for cheap. Viper are somewhat notorious for their hit and miss products in the UK. Mostly just a rebrand of china quality stuff with their logo slapped on it.
If you're using high caps with your gun don't worry about the dump pouch as of yet. That's mainly when you've got like 4+ midcaps or only real caps.

Fair enough, I do plan getting about 4 Mid caps (maybe just 3) I may hold off on the vest altogether and just use one of the leg ammo pouches or get this:
http://www.airsoftworld.net/tactical-equipment/tac-vests-accessories/load-bearing-vest-in-woodland-cammo.html
Or this
http://www.airsoftworld.net/tactical-equipment/tac-vests-accessories/highlander-la-vest-olive.html
Since it allows a bit more ammo in the future, probably will go for the first though.

Bugger, first one is out of stock.
Man those DPM's really are fucking cheap. At least it allows to open up money on the protection, I was thinking one of those mesh face gaurds, glasses then helmet.
Since you're under 18 full face is pretty much compulsory everywhere. I can't really pass judgement on those vests either way never used any of the premade ones.

Damn. I will see what the people say at the field.
Just got back.
Man that's really fucking fun. That's possibly the most fun I have had in a while. I took your advice rushed when I could and stuck with my teammates, whenever they were allowed I would usually just be Medic running all over the place while people covered me and tagged them back in. At first I was a bit of a wimp mainly because I didn't know the pain of being shot, when I did it hurt less than I thought it would, unless it was point blank of course.
Good fun, going to make it a regular thing.
Good to hear man, welcome to the bestest hobbi in the world.
THREAD FINITO.
