Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson says the BBC has told him he will be sacked if he makes "one more offensive remark, anywhere, at any time". "It's inevitable that one day, someone, somewhere will say that I've offended them, and that will be that." http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-27266102
Really BBC? You're going to can one of your most popular shows? You'll lose more rating that way than you would by inaction.
Can't wait to see a video of him from 1980, where he is saying that someone should mop up the spill on the floor, that gets him fired for using the term "mop," which is derived from "mophead," which is of course a racial slur.
Jesus christ, that's pretty bad. The worst part is that now that he apologised for the last two, it's just set a precedent.
He was going overboard with the racism so I agree with this to be honest. Being Jeremy Clarkson shouldn't give you free reign to be a racist asshole.
Why is everyone so sensitive all of a sudden?
'The new Mercedes AMG Black...' *FIRED*
Why is everyone so sensitive all of a sudden?
No other personality would get away with saying nigger, so why should he?
He was going overboard with the racism so I agree with this to be honest. Being Jeremy Clarkson shouldn't give you free reign to be a racist asshole.
Okay. Let's back up a bit. Racist asshole? What? It didn't even sound like he said nigger, and even if he did - saying one bad word makes you a racist asshole?
I hate this world
No other personality would get away with saying nigger, so why should he?
You mean that one word which he mumbled incoherently?
No other personality would get away with saying nigger, so why should he?
He didn't say it.
No other personality would get away with saying nigger, so why should he?
Except like uhm....... EVERYONE WHO IS BLACK
Okay. Let's back up a bit. Racist asshole? What?
The whole thing where he apparently referred to an Asian dude as a slope, which was entirely ambiguous considering the guy was standing on a bridge that was sloped.
The whole thing where he apparently referred to an Asian dude as a slope, which was entirely ambiguous considering the guy was standing on a bridge that was sloped.
And that was a case of overanalyzing something innocent. Analyze anything Chris Rock says and he's the biggest racist in the world.
The whole thing where he apparently referred to an Asian dude as a slope, which was entirely ambiguous considering the guy was standing on a bridge that was sloped.
It's really stupid how mad people are getting over this, I myself am a 'slope' and I found the joke hilarious
he'd just create his own channel literally the only channel i'd watch
It's really stupid how mad people are getting over this, I myself am a 'slope' and I found the joke hilarious
People will literally get mad over anything.
The whole thing where he apparently referred to an Asian dude as a slope, which was entirely ambiguous considering the guy was standing on a bridge that was sloped.
That's a different incident, this is about him supposedly saying nigger I doubt BBC will actually fire him, they probably won't do anything if it ever happens again but just had to look like they were doing something about it
Top gear just wouldn't be the same without Clarkson, and if as far as I know it's one of the most popular BBC shows. So I doubt they'll kick him out for something so minute.
The BBC is publicly funded, they'd have no choice
White people need to stop being offended for other people
There would be no suitable replacement for Jezza on Top Gear. I'm sure a new car program would start up on Sky/ITV pretty quickly and snap him up. Hopefully with the same production value that Top Gear has. Obviously Hammond and May wouldn't object to moving to a different show also.
No other personality would get away with saying nigger, so why should he?
He didn't say it? He mumbled something that could have sounded like it in private, he then took action to prevent it from airing. He isn't in the wrong here.
No other personality would get away with saying nigger, so why should he?
Why should no one get away with saying nigger? Honestly, unless it's used in a derogatory way it really shouldn't matter. Either way, he didn't even really say it.
The whole thing where he apparently referred to an Asian dude as a slope, which was entirely ambiguous considering the guy was standing on a bridge that was sloped.
I still honestly think that was poking fun at people who use that term to refer to Asians (ie racists). Pretty much no one knew about what that term meant prior to the daily mail making a big deal about it.

I mean Clarkson recently sold the rights to top gear to the BBC for £14m, so he knows how to create and grow a TV series.
If they fire JC from BBC, they can also get rid of Top Gear right away. But the way I know TV, they'll desperately try to save it and ultimately lose the entire viewership because it isn't the same anymore.
I hope the doesn't say "mumblemumblemumble" and gets fired :(
