READING, Pa.– Police are investigating an incident in which a person in a clown mask stabbed and killed a 16-year old in Reading, Pennsylvania on Sunday night. According to the Reading Eagle, a fight broke out after a person showed up wearing a clown mask. Officials told the newspaper that they responded to reports of a person lying on a front porch of a home, and that there was a large crowd in the street.
http://wnep.com/2016/09/27/police-searching-for-assailant-in-clown-mask-after-pennsylvania-teen-stabbed-to-death/ :scream: :clown:
And clown open season has officially begun.
This It 2017 viral marketing campaign is getting out of hand
Well the clown fad should die now that a clown masked psycho actually killed someone. It ain't funny anymore.
This is what happens when you let clowns into the country. We should build a wall and make the Ringling Brothers pay for it! In all seriousness though this is really fucked up. Guess that's one Halloween costume I can't use this year.
What's with the fucking clowns?!
Premature purge?
Well the clown fad should die now that a clown masked psycho actually killed someone. It ain't funny anymore.
It's still rather funny but I think most people will start shooting at people dressed as clowns.

clown rampages, this year just keeps going
Reading's actually a pretty shitty place, I'm honestly not surprised. Rest in peace, bud. Way too young.
i am pretty sure that we don't live in reality anymore
fuk not my state
Do you think the knife went Honk when it went in?
Good thing I CC in my state.
Good thing I CC in my state.
Good thing the knife-wielding maniac is sure to give you enough warning to draw your weapon for a clean shot, and not jump you in a populated area or anything.
Bain would be furious
Good thing the knife-wielding maniac is sure to give you enough warning to draw your weapon for a clean shot, and not jump you in a populated area or anything.
if someone is trying to stab me to death i'd rather have a gun on me than not have one
Okay now this is getting a little to close for comfort now, gonna tell my bro and sis not to take any walks for a while if they can help it...
I know its in Redding, but fuck man, please keep this shit away from me.
Good thing the knife-wielding maniac is sure to give you enough warning to draw your weapon for a clean shot, and not jump you in a populated area or anything.
He'd at least prevent him from stabbing anyone else.
Good thing the knife-wielding maniac is sure to give you enough warning to draw your weapon for a clean shot, and not jump you in a populated area or anything.
A clown is the most conspicuous concept. You'd be able to get a good aim on him from a mile away.
It's still rather funny but I think most people will start shooting at people dressed as clowns.
Messed up my zinger. D'oh! Still, its fucked up and now someone with a CC can shoot a clown without knowing if he's gonna kill him or tell him "Happy Birthday!"
Quit clowning around guys. This is a very serious situation and you all need to take a few midnight walks to calm down. Be sure not to bring any personal defensive devices. :clown:
Messed up my zinger. D'oh! People around my little town in pennsylvania have been staying up till midnight to hunt down a clown that's been reported looking in people's windows. When I say hunt, I mean HUNT. They've been going around in pickup trucks with rifles in the bed looking for a clown. After this incident people are going to go fucking nuts, I can't even imagine how it's like in Berk county right now. I just hope this fad passes over soon because it's getting ridiculous

There's also reports of kids getting harassed in Pottsville by clowns: http://wnep.com/2016/09/20/clowns-reportedly-harassing-children-in-schuylkill-county/
This is going to fuck up Halloween for the kids this year.
IIRC it is a proven thing that knife wins over gun nearly every time at closer ranges than 7 metres Are you gonna draw your gun at every clown passing by you closer than 7 metres? [editline]28th September 2016[/editline] This might be a statistic for trained knife wielders so say 3-4 meters. Which is still pedestrian sidewalk width.

Good thing the knife-wielding maniac is sure to give you enough warning to draw your weapon for a clean shot, and not jump you in a populated area or anything.
What you and others are implying is "You will probably not be able to do anything so there is no point in trying" it's like saying that you shouldn't keep a fire extinguisher in your house because putting out house fires is difficult and statistically most structures that catch fire burn down anyway. There is no way for you to positively know that. You can't predict the future. Sure, maybe someone will come up from behind and stab you when you're not paying attention. Or you could be ten or twenty feet and watching someone being stabbed and potentially be able to end the altercation and save their life. Or you're walking to the bus stop and a guy (in this particular albeit odd case a knife-wielding clown) comes out of the tree line and you can assess the threat and draw before he can close the distance and save your own life. In which of these three scenarios does it benefit you to not have a gun? Neither. If you don't want to or cannot carry a firearm, than don't. That's your choice. But if you're legally allowed to do so they're within their right to do so, regardless what hypothetical situation you think could happen that would render it useless. People have shot knife wielding attackers from close range and survived, there are plenty of times. It's just really hard to do so when they're already in your personal space stabbing you to do so. Hopefully you're lucky and have good situational awareness or if you get into a knife-fight you're at least lucky enough to draw and shoot. But it's better to have a firearm in that situation than to be completely unarmed. Without a gun you die. With a gun you may have a chance. Unless you learn open hand tactics like martial arts you're defenseless against a knife. Anyone can use a gun, elderly and crippled included with minimal training and time investment compared to learning a form of physical self defense. Hence why most people see "knife wielding clown kills someone" they get a gun. Because you can get a gun, a CCW and a training class and become competent with a firearm in significantly less time than it would take someone who may be unfit, unable, or unwilling to take regular physical training classes. [editline]28th September 2016[/editline] Do you want an extremely relevant example? Watch at 2:28 in the video. Three axe wielding clowns (just a prank bro) covered in blood approach a man alone. He draws and disarms them. Hypothetically if the situation were real he would have been able to shoot them. But again, the clowns could have come up from behind without him noticing and killed him too. Either way, he was better off armed than not and in this exact example he would've been able to defend himself. Without the gun he'd have to attempt to defend himself against and overpower three men, armed with edged weapons.
