In response to the Boy Scouts of America accepting openly gay boys, hyper retarded christians create
Chatting in the living room one night, Ron Orr gave his 15-year-old son Andrew
a choice: He could stick with the Boy Scouts of America and his mission to become an
Eagle Scout, or he could join Trail Life USA — the new Christian-based alternative that
excludes openly gay boys. This was no small decision. Four generations of Orr men had been Eagles, including
Ron and Andrew's older brother. Andrew had spent years working toward Scouting's
highest rank, and was just months from reaching it.
But the Boy Scouts had decided to admit gays, and Ron Orr, a tall, soft-spoken man
with a firm handshake, is clear about his Christian faith and what it says about
homosexuality: It is a sin that cannot be tolerated.

i find this kid's story rather amusing considering that becoming an eagle scout looks very impressive on your resume and it takes years to achieve it and this guy throws it all away months away from achieving it

Huzzah for being so insecure about your own sexuality that you have to demonize anyone who doesn't share those sexual preferences, and then forcing it on your kids who just want to tie knots and sell popcorn.
What Christianity do they follow, anyway? Because I'm pretty sure Jesus didn't go around pulling this kind of crap. It's kind of the exact opposite of what he did in the early Christian mythos.
That salute is a sieg heil if i ever saw one

If this is anything to go by he does not sound like the type of person who deserves a good looking resume.
Sitting next to Orr during the meeting, White began to cry as he described what his son said: "I wanted to go with what God would want."
His voice wavered.
"It made it clear that we had taught him what he needed to know," he said.
Like hell you did

It does? Since when did going to a kid's club look good on a resume?
That salute is a sieg heil if i ever saw one
That looks like the most multi-ethnic sieg heil I've ever seen.
Lord Baden-Powell came from another era, so I don't know that he'd have an enlightened view on gay boys specifically, but I've a feeling that he would have no time for these fucks that want to ruin a young man's future (i.e. deny him the experience of being a Scout) because he's not attracted to tits. Scouting for Boys shows he was a practical type with few reserves of fuck for this kind of infantile bullshit.

Attaining Eagle Scout basically means that you spent your adolescence on continual self-improvement and learning life skills (time requirements, and the required badges are for things such as first aid, fitness, various general life skills) and have also demonstrated leadership both through those same years and to your community through a notable service project, all before you become an adult.

Nazi Job Openings, send in your resume.

When I first heard about Trail Life, I thought, great, Scouting just got a whole lot better because all the homophobes have left to join their own club, and they'll be easily identifiable as homophobes/the sons of homophobes by their affiliation. This'll be a good sign to employers, both homophobic and actually human, on whether they want to hire people.
Then I saw that photo.
If I were an employer in the US and a resume with "Trail Life" came across my desk, it would hit the "no" bin like hypersonic dogshit.

If I had to guess, they follow the Christianity with that book that forbids homosexuality.
I can not fathom that they actually use that salute.
If I had to guess, they follow the Christianity with that book that forbids homosexuality.
Christianity forbids homosexuality. This does not mean that you do not treat everybody with respect for their own beliefs, even if you don't agree.
I don't agree with their views, but that's one heil of a salute.
I wonder what would happen if Boy Scouts and Trail Mix USA encountered one another.
Blood would be shed.
Poor kids and teens getting brainwashed by this shit.

In Trail Mix kids' minds, they'd be more scared of the inevitable gang raping, I think.
Why else would you leave a respected institution with over a century of tradition to form a clone with bigotry as your #1 competitive advantage?
I like that nickname for them, too.

what kind of person sends in hypersonic dogshit as their resume?
if such a thing even exists, and they're applying for an engineering position, I'd accept them immediately
If I were an employer in the US and a resume with "Trail Life" came across my desk, it would hit the "no" bin like hypersonic dogshit.
"but if the law says I can't refuse service or employment to gay people for being gay, what right do you have to refuse a law abiding citizen like myself for my choice of boyscouts"
[editline]e[/editline]
"which by no means do I mean I have a preference in boyscout"
[editline]e[/editline]
"think of the children"
Didn't the Washington Times say that their salute isn't the Nazi salute and that picture was just taken during a dance they did? Still horrible though. Also, they don't let Jews or Muslims in the new scouts.
Also, they don't let Jews or Muslims in the new scouts.
Re-read that; they don't accept leaders that aren't Christian and they won't accept charters from groups based around a non-Christian organization. This includes Mormons for being heretics that don't believe in the Holy Trinity.
according to our membership standards, Jewish churches and organizations would be precluded from chartering Trail Life USA troops. And those of the Jewish faith would indeed be precluded as adult leaders based on their beliefs. However, a Jewish youth could join. And a Jewish parent could be present at troop functions and even on certain camping trips, but not as a recognized or registered leader that would be providing direct leadership to the youth. And the Jewish denomination would not be recognized as a participating Christian denomination in Trail Life USA.
There is no mention of muslims at all on their FAQ; I would expect it'd be a case of "leave your own religion at the door and smile and nod when we talk about Jesus but otherwise welcome".
If I had to guess, they follow the Christianity with that book that forbids homosexuality.
Then they also follow the Christianity wherein all sins are equal but one, so everyone who's ever sinned should be banned.
Obviously, that doesn't allow for their bigotry.
If I were an employer in the US and a resume with "Trail Life" came across my desk, it would hit the "no" bin like hypersonic dogshit.
I would probably ask if their parents forced them into it.
That looks like the most multi-ethnic sieg heil I've ever seen.
Because all races and cultures unite against the growing unholy threat of faggotry.
Surely this would be illegal, dont you have anti-homophobic laws against this kind of thing?

Atheists aren't allowed to join period. And people bitch about gay rights.
Surely this would be illegal, dont you have anti-homophobic laws against this kind of thing?
...No?
Yeah, seriously, no.
We're a bit backwards over here, what with two hundred years of conservative propaganda against anyone who doesn't fit in.
I would probably ask if their parents forced them into it.
If your parents forced you into Camp Gaybash and you had the sense to know it was wrong, why even put it on a resume?
Yeah. Pretty sure this should be illegal.
each one of these chodelords have the most cuntjossling shiteating faces I've ever had the displeasure of seeing and my heart weeps for when the true manifestation of their asininity surfaces in their adulthood
