So I love films, I love watching them, making them, seeing how the were made, everything. But it dawned on me that I really don't watch enough of them at all. So as my new years resolution I have decided to watch 500 of them over the course of the year, and will be updating what films I watch and stuff in this thread, but also take suggestions of films, no matter how good or crap you think of them, I will try and get round to watching them.
I watched my first new film of the year the other day (I am only going to watch films which I haven't seen before), and that was [url=http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1182345/]Moon[/url]. For a short mini review I would say it was a great film, a calm film at that with next to no action in it what so ever which makes a nice break from all the run and explosions and shit films from the past year. I rate it at about a 8.5 on my film ratings scale.

I don't care, I haven't been watching enough films. Plus if they do turn square then I can put a piece of red and blue filter paper on my eyes and become 3D man and save the world from the flat tyranny.
Do you not like...have a job? Or school? 500 films over the next year is a massive amount! You will love Shawshank, it's a brilliant film.

Can't you cut it down to at least 200 or 100, I believe it otherwise can be pretty unhealthy :confused:
500 films at most is only a sixth of your year spent watching films, go for it.
Try work through the IMDB Top 250.

Well, I once watched around 60 Battlestar Galactica episodes in a week.
However it was during the holidays.
And each episode is only 45 minutes.

Buy, Rent, Borrow movies. Maybe you can spare two/ three hours of your day watching movie. Maybe you should make, Friday, Saturday and Sunday as movie night. You can't watch movies every day.

Lets say you illegally download these:
10 minutes searching.
30min-3hours downloading.
1h & 1/2h-3h watching.
In total you'd be wasting 2 to 3 hours watching films.
Let's say you go to school for at least 6 hours a day + 2 hours of transport and getting ready.
I'll assume you sleep 9 hours and take 2 hours eating all your meals.
In total that is 19 hours. Plus 1 hour of wanking,porn watching and talking leaves you with 4 hours of "free time".
If you go on with this stupid idea you'll be wasting 2 and a half hours of your free time. Leaving you with 1 and a half hours to study, do homework, play games, surf the web, go out with friends and do exercise.
Yes you have weekends, but if you watch films only on weekends you'll need to watch 9.43 films every weekend.
If you rent them at an average of 2 pounds each this will cost you 1000 pounds. This might be your only option if your internet connection has a bandwidth cap.
This is impossible to do unless you are a fat lazy 30 year old wanker who has no job and lives in the basement of his parents house.
Plus, they are some extremelly boring films. You'll get depressed and might even commit suicide.
