You know Swedish politics is really baffling from an outsiders perspective. You guys have been talking like the country's on a verge of a power shift, but it never actually happens. Just how high is the incumbency rate in Sweden, anyway?

Fairly sure most integrated and assimilated immigrants or children to immigrants feel the same way. In the end it's just a bunch of white people trying not to offend any minority, which in turn can cause issues that the woman brings up.

Not surprised, Swedish media is in general very biased towards leftist ideals. The results are even worse when you compare SVT (Swedish national television) and the Swedish people.

Without this broken logic, you'd just be normally deciding who to offend and who not to offend based on more grounded ideas, if at all, and would be fairly consistent. But these politics make it intentionally impossible to ever reach the "end goal", because you are constantly biting your own tail in oppression olympics. Right now, the popular cycle with the extreme left is to pretend certain violent groups dont exist, or that acknowledging their existence at all means you hurt everyone of their race/religion/ethnicity. The difference is that while Aftonbladet has a leftist/social democratic perspective, Fria Tider has a right wing perspective on its news. No news site is truly unbiased in its reporting.

And those tend to be invariably more liberal compared to the average population.

Some places lean so far to the right it isn't funny, but some places lean too far to the left and we get stuff like this. And there's no sort of "universal social chiropracty" to bring balance to both sides, sorting out the spine of the culture to have the best of both worlds working in tandem. The way I see it, if someone's leaning too far left, or too far right, maybe they have a back problem.

The right wing in Sweden is arguably the calmest right wing you could have in a country. Extremists from both left and right should not grow. We're seeing a growth from both right wing and left now which needs to be dealt with. We don't need people going more left of Socialdemokraterna or right of Moderaterna and SD. Be glad Sweden got mostly moderate people and that there are people actually concerned about the rise of ignorant behaviour from both sides. We don't need idiots that close their eyes and don't dare criticize people outside of the west world because they're afraid of being called racist or ignorant. We don't need idiots to the right being xenophobic as fuck and in turning racist. Both these sides are throwing each other to a even more extreme side including people off-center. The extreme sides of the spectrum are making people afraid of saying what they think. I may be a bit redundant but this is what I think. I'm around the centric area of the political diagram and people try to throw me into the opposite side when I say I support the rights of everyone or that I think that we got a bit too extreme people coming in without being checked. I support the possibility for moderate or nearly agnostic religious people of Islam, Christianity and Judaism to be able to de-attach themselves from the extreme side and not fear being muted or attacked. We will go to hell but not in the nearest future but at least 50-100 years if we let the current situation we have continue.
