Wouldn't this be considered Urbex? There's a subforum for that. Regardless, pretty cool. It's weird to me that all that stuff just gets left there. You'd think whoever owned the place would wanna sell it all and grab as much cash as he could before closing up shop.
A skating rink with poles in the middle? I've never heard of such a thing. That seems really weird.

Oh crap. I live in a neighborhood right next to this place. [editline]edit[/editline] If I recall correctly, the place closed down because of a flood that happened around 2005. The park sits on low ground right next to a creek; almost all of it was underwater when the flood happened. The owners tried to repair it, but they couldn't pay for all the repairs so they gave it up. I guess they didn't sell their things off because it was all practically unsalvageable. Who wants to buy 300 pairs of water-damaged roller skates?
