Is this the onion?
theres so many reasons to hate gmos that have nothing to do with the pseudoscience fears like how monsanto pretty much holds farmers hostage
Why is he talking like that is supposed to scare me? Does he think I don't want SpiderPig?
I wasn't spooked by the video, neither did I see it as him trying to spook anyone.
I wasn't spooked by the video, neither did I see it as him trying to spook anyone.
Wildly distorting the facts
So they have spider genes, that they've put into goats *picture of goat with spider legs* in the hopes they can milk the goat, to get spider-web protein to make bullet proof vests
It's fear mongering that only bases itself on facts as far as they support their views, I mean hell: just go to their website and see what they're pedaling: http://geneticroulettemovie.com/
Never-Before-Seen-Evidence points to genetically engineered foods as a major contributor to rising disease rates in the US population, especially among children. Gastrointestinal disorders, allergies, inflammatory diseases, and infertility are just some of the problems implicated in humans, pets, livestock, and lab animals that eat genetically modified soybeans and corn.
If you actually want to learn anything about GMOs and the actual debate against it, there's a large discussion here. And some healthcare triage:
I'd be willing to push the fearmongering forward if it means the end of Monsanto. Sacrificing GMO progress for a few years is better than sacrificing food for a few

Because I'm lazy, Cult of Dusty has a mediocre video on it; if you can stand his yelling: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulq0NW1sTcI
theres so many reasons to hate gmos that have nothing to do with the pseudoscience fears like how monsanto pretty much holds farmers hostage
I hate when people analogize Monsanto to GMOs. They are not the same thing. Hate on Monsanto all you want (and good on you; everyone under the sun should, and mole people as well), but don't hate on GMOs because of Monsanto. It's pretty much a concrete exemplification of the concept of "hate the player, not the game." I'm sure you didn't literally mean "hate GMOs because of Monsanto," but I know people who legitimately oppose any and all GMOs and their reasons are "because Monsanto are an evil company." I'm always like, "so, wait, do you oppose the idea of GMOs or Monsanto's business practices?" to which the response is always "Monsanto's business practices." It's usually at this point they realize their hatred of GMOs are misplaced, when in reality it's Monsanto they hate. It's a bit like hating hamburgers because you hate McDonalds, or hating music players because you hate Apple. Sorry, just a pet peeve of mine.
theres so many reasons to hate gmos that have nothing to do with the pseudoscience fears like how monsanto pretty much holds farmers hostage
How? Monsanto aren't the only GMO company you know. A farmer can just as easily purchase seeds from somewhere else, (and sign what is essentially the same contract.)
The difference between selective breeding and genetically modified organism is that genetically modified organism has two trigger words in it: genetics and modification. You see, decades of depiction of genetics fucking up something and creating some hideous monsters that is evil and goes on a murder spree in hollywood movies lead to the general view of genetics being connected to evil.

[editline]16th November 2014[/editline]
theres so many reasons to hate gmos that have nothing to do with the pseudoscience fears like how monsanto pretty much holds farmers hostage
If you think Monsantos practices are unique you should check out what's up in the agricultural industry. Turns out most of what they do is common practice and the only reason people bitch a lot about them is because they use GMOS. Also OPs video is dumb as fuck. Oh no! We moved around the position of Guanine, Cytosine, Adenine, and Thymine in this molecule! It's going to mutate out of control and give us cancer!
How? Monsanto aren't the only GMO company you know. Should have clarified, but I have no problems with GMOs themselves.
