Look's like another mission gameplay.
Makes me want them to do a game about pirates. Sandbox pirate game, set sail whenever, rape, loot, plunder, etc.

this actually looks really well-put together i'm moderately impressed
Wow that gameplay looks pretty intense. This reminds me, should I play Brotherhood and Revelations?
Neat can this be a whole game
Wow that gameplay looks pretty intense. This reminds me, should I play Brotherhood and Revelations?
Story wise, yes. Revelations was lacking but it's still pretty decent. Brotherhood definitely you should play. But if you want to understand the story I highly suggest you play both as the story is confusing as fuck as you can already tell.
Just glad they have bow and arrow. Have a feeling that someone would release a "Link" mod for Connor.
I really liked Brotherhood. I thought the assassins guild mechanic was cool and being able to send them on away missions was a nice mechanic. I've yet to play revelations though.
I want this so so, but I'm afraid of what DRM Ubisoft might try to shoehorn in here.
I dunno, it seems fun. But it'd get boring for me fast, no historical accuracy in it at all. Super fast gun battle through rocky, shallow waters? Yeah right. Along with the instant turning and 'Explosuns everywhere', seems to be more catering towards the 'I want action naow' audience.

those water effects look insane.
It's amazing and all, but everyone already saw it.

RESLEAS THE CRAKEN

While they are being released pretty quickly after each other, AC games keep getting something new or improved with each game. I hope they can keep this up for a long time to come.
Looks amazing it's a shame the video had to end on such a bad tone though, i hope you get to upgrade your ship and stuff and they don't make it just a tacked on extra like the tower defense in brotherhood.
Haha, 3:45 -- that ship is a terrible shot.
This just makes me want to have a game that's entirely this. There are like, 3 pirate games that are any good, and two of them are Sid Meier's Pirates. Seriously, the two time periods I would think to be rife with videogame adaptations are the old west and the golden age of piracy, and so far little has been done to even go near either, barring the occasional red dead redemption.

It was like an action rpg, you could roam about, upgrade your ship and character. You could board enemy ships kill off the crew then take the ship as part of your fleet n stuff.
Man Imagine an action rpg pirate game. And fuck off Risen 2.
I like it, but assassins creed has really stopped being a stealth game hasn't it?
I like it, but assassins creed has really stopped being a stealth game hasn't it?
This looks like its before Connor becomes an Assassin.
I never really liked the other AC games but this one is just looking phenomenal.
I like it, but assassins creed has really stopped being a stealth game hasn't it?
It never was a stealth game, really. I think I stealth killed 1 guy in the first game. Stealth is just one of your tools. [editline]17th June 2012[/editline]
This looks like its before Connor becomes an Assassin.
It's not, they said the game takes place over about 30 year and Connor become the captain of a ship after he becomes an assassin.

Best pirate game ever. Shame they fucked up the sequel. It was like Silent Hunter + RPG with XVII century ships. Would be neat if we could steer in ACIII first class Man'O'War ship.
3rd person Napoleon Total War sea battles
Total war sea battles were kind of crap until Fall of the Samurai.
