Watch how pissed he gets when he notices the camera. Apparently Jumping over police carries an on the spot execution by neck breaking the 2nd time you do it ;)
murrica
incorrect use of apostrophe in thread title DID NOT WATCH
Looked like a dangerous assault jump to me, the officer was just defending himself.
To be honest I agree with the cops. I wouldn't want people just jumping over me. If they botch the jump that's going to hurt.
The guy was being an ass but arresting someone for filming is an abuse of power I'd think.
why did he turn around to go talk to the cops anyway
He should of never jumped over the two cops.
There is always a chance some sick freak could of snuck up behind them and attacked them.
So they were probably pissed when he did that.
Although saying they were going to break his neck was a too far.
On top of that, why were cops sitting down instead of patrolling?
Okay too many questions, too little answers.
Bottom line, Both parties were wrong.
Pretty dumb idea to mess with a cop these days.
EDIT:
He shouldn't have tried to run either. I doubt they would have beat his ass like that if he didn't.
Why didn't he just do the flip, grab the camera and run? What was the point of going back to talk to them?
I'm sorry sir but you're being too rad.

He must have thought they might let him off after an apology.
Also the camera was behind on the bench.

This happens every mother fucking time someone tries shit like this, whether its jumping over them or throwing a snowball at them. The police are NOT there to play around with you or be your friend, they have a job to do and pulling bullshit like that is interfering with them.
Yes them getting pissed over the video camera is stupid and wrong, but in the event of that you need to fuck off and report them through proper channels, using the footage you already have as evidence; not act like a smartass and try to tackle the problem head on because you WILL lose.

Judging from the end of the video it looks like this guy gets his kicks by trying to be Remi Gaillard and doing shit like kissing random people or jumping on other people's videos (sometimes while in motion) so he kind of reserved a slot for getting his due sooner or later??

Looks to me like the officers were relaxing on the bench. For all we know they might be chilling as the shift ends. If the atmosphere is cool and it looks like everyone is having a good time, he may have assumed they would be cool with it.
My parents and my schools brought me up to assume all police were friendly men and women we could approach any time. We certainly were not brought up to see them as these two hotheads. Losing your cool so easy can be dangerous with that gun on your hip.

Except he didn't. Jumping over people is not illegal, nor is filming them in a public space.
This is the same guy who jumps into people's cars, kisses them at random, and over all acts like a douche.
He had it coming, TBH.

Interfering them in their bench sitting duties.

If one had dropped his doughnuts... they would have shot him for sure ;)

Schools also brought us up to think that we could achieve anything we wanted, we were all special, college meant you were set for life and there would be things about us that mattered whether or not they actually contributed to society. There was a period of time in US History where there was a friendly neighborhood policeman walking around but it's long since past. They went over the line with threats of violence but thats something you need to report, not act like an idiot like this dude did.
He shouldn't have pulled this stunt anyway, for one it's common sense because if you don't know the cops like this guy obviously didn't you wouldnt know whether they are quick to take you down like these ones were; two like I said cops aren't there for stupid prank videos (he didn't even run away after it happened, thats what cameramen are for) and you're just asking for trouble by messing with them like this.
Interfering them in their bench sitting duties.
Whether or not they are on duty, or even doing anything at all, isn't explained in the video and doesn't matter anyway and I don't think this guy gave a shit IF they were actually doing anything important. But I'm willing to hazard a guess that you didn't really think it through and were just going for a Zing.
I would have inquired as to what the grounds for arrest are, and remind them that they have just been recorded threatening to harm me.

There is a difference between going up to a cop and asking him how his day is and having a general conversation is and setting up a camera and doing back flips over them.
I bet you guys would be pissed if someone was doing that shit to you, its called personal space. Don't invade it. Here is a thought how about stop trying to provoke reactions from people, clearly that is what he was trying to do because no one with a lick of sense would have done.
Except he didn't. Jumping over people is not illegal, nor is filming them in a public space.
I think the jumping over them that closely should be illegal, so if it isn't considered a form of assault already, the laws should be revised and he should be let off this time.

But some people act like because they are cops they are supposed to be emotionless robots and not care about things like this. And yes, his intention is getting a response as shown from the fact that he did videos about kissing people and jumping on people's cars.

Have you ever watched a police video where some college kid was getting arrested and he just kept crying out "I KNOW MY RIGHTS I KNOW MY RIGHTS I KNOW MY RIGHTS" yeah I don't think anyone at all would have cared. And in this situations reminding them you have physical evidence is just asking for it to be taken away just like it was in this video, and seriously what would it even solve anyway

Jumping over someone should be classed as assault? Now I've heard everything!

To be honest, I'd think that was cool as shit and laugh it off. To each their own I suppose.
Yeah wtf man, Why the hell did he jump over those cops like that they were trying to work. Couldn't you see that?
Bench testing is serious business!

Maybe not assault, but it should be illegal. It definitely would interfere with my right to be outside enjoying myself. Are you seriously telling me you think it should be legal for guys to start doing gymnastics over your head while sitting on a park bench?

Your rights to enjoy yourself end where my desire to make epic prank videos begins.

It's sad that people actually seem to think that.
