Neato. I wonder what the scale is, cause that would be godlike for playing tabletop wargames lol

It's shot with a tilt shift lense.. so, it's a 1:1 scale because it's the actual Kiev. :downs:
I love the orange house with the blue roof at 1:34.
Oh hey Trase! How have you been?
The blur seems fake
Holy fuck, how big is the entire model? did you edit the background in or is it really several blocks large?
It took me a while to realize that it wasn't a stopmotion film.
It's real life, not a model.

please tell me you're kidding
I caltually had to watch it twice to see that.
but holy hell what's with the dude on the balcony watering plants at 0:48, does he have rubber arms?
Really a wonderful film project.
Okay, now all they need to make is Pripyat miniature version
Tilt-shift was added post, and to be honest was pretty poorly done. In many shots it just seemed like a blur gradient from center frame to the edges. As great as the composition of each shot was, I couldn't take my eyes away from the blurs.
Definitely needs to be worked on.
Ukraine is a nice country.
-snip- fuck me and not reading the thread completely
yeah dont call people dumb for not noticing it's not a scale model. the thread title doesn't help either. it actually looks like one until you get to half of the video.
I thought it was miniature until I realised there were people moving in the video and I've seen this kind of video using tilt shift lens. Although I thought this was the real deal and not an after effect.
The song really complemented it, and oddly enough while watching the video, i found myself looking at it through innocent child like eyes as if these were actually toys.
I love tilt-shift so much for this.
Holy shit its TRACE!
