Over an indiscriminate period of time on these forums, I've seen occasional snippets of information posted about the nature of consciousness, but they seem to be either very vague or not really including the whole picture of things. I came across this presentation after searching around for biological computation, and found it to be extremely comprehensive and fascinating in that it kind of summarizes our current understanding of consciousness as of 2017, and thus I wish to share it here. Whether you're in the STEM field and you deal with this for a living, or you're trying to find your place in the world amidst daily life, or you're dealing with depression/anxiety/loss of morale, etc. I think everyone here will benefit from hearing this information. Enjoy.
