Fakefactory Cinimatic Mod Final Version Preview (???) - General

Just saw this on youtube... Hes at it again, he claims this is the final version. At least hes made a HD version of Valve's Alyx this time instead of one of his whores. [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShZSR5sSflM[/media]

I love how he has increased the amount of light the sun gives out you can hardly see anything else in half the scenes :v:

I don't know why people say his maps look good. He doesn't even bother making the brushwork less blocky, he just slaps huge textures on the original maps (which makes it look even more plain and shitty) and literally spams junk and plants all over them.

I like how he used a Breen speech to make his trailer seem epic, when nobody in universe likes him. He unintentionally drew a parallel between himself and the game.

If it is release it looks a lot better than the last release. the filters hurt my eyes tho and he adds to much cluter

How many trees and bridges did he add this time?

this is like when Gmod posers want to make their picture look good so they just add on lots of really desaturated bloom and ask someone else to edit in a lens flare

Oh god, this guy is still in business? I remember back in the day, another guy made a huge normal map mod for HL2, which actually looked really nice for its time. FakeFactory stole his work without giving any credit and increased the intensity to nearly shit levels. Poor guy was so distraught that we never really saw much more from him again.

I'd love to see a faithful, modest version of something like this. With just better textures, some mapping improvements and maybe a couple suitable effects added in that all stays true to the original game.

I kind of like high contrast. I play Stalker SoC with higher contrast because it makes the underground levels really eerie. [editline]2nd August 2013[/editline] (Although I don't support stealing content in the least.)

I actually like FF, well, except for the whole "Everyone is either a stripper or weird looking" thing it's got going on and the tons of stolen music. It'd be much better if the environments weren't so cluttered, though.

I'm alright with someone making things look nicer, but it seems like all he does is replace textures with ones that don't fit in and adds stuff that completely misses the point of the original - such as all the perfectly fine trees and roads everywhere.

I played CM once and it made me want to throw up. That was when I was a kid and I had no real sense of what a cohesive artistic style was.

I don't see why there's so much hate about it It's a High Res texture pack. It's kind of cool that a game from 2004 can use such high res textures without issue
