MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Roy Moore is going to court to try to stop Alabama from certifying Democrat Doug Jones as the winner of the U.S. Senate race.
Moore filed a lawsuit Wednesday evening in Montgomery Circuit Court. The filing occurred about 14 hours ahead of Thursday’s meeting of a state canvassing board to officially declare Jones the winner of the Dec. 12 special election.
Roy Moore filed a lawsuit this Wednesday to block the state certification of Jones as the winner, which is to occur today, the immediate Thursday afterwards. Considering that the Republican Secretary of State of Alabama, along with all other members of the government, have consistently pushed aside Moore's allegations of voter fraud as being untrue, as the theory only really stems from especially fringe cranks like Alex Jones and Mike Cernovich and others desperate to explain the loss.
It's so incredibly satisfying to watch Moore, a morally bankrupt bigot and serial predator, who clothes himself in the armor of a righteous crusader, and who so obviously cannot come to terms with his loss as a result. Especially given that he loss to a gosh darn abortion loving, gay friendly liberal. You rarely see comeuppance this satisfying in politics. Personally looking forward to when he refuses to concede even after the election is certified, and Jones is sworn in, especially if he goes all the way to show up at the Capitol and insist he is the rightful Senator from Alabama.

This is fantastic. Thank you, Roy Moore, for not conceding peacefully and showing everyone how much of mental nutcase/sore loser you are, can't wait to see how far he's going to go in his quixotic crusade.

I hope he convinces his supporters to fund his paid recounts over and over again and burn all their money away.
Lmao
His complaint alleges that out-of-state residents had been allowed to vote and that election fraud experts had concluded through statistical analyses that fraud had taken place. One of the election experts Moore cites is Richard Charnin, who also posts about JFK conspiracy theories and the murder of DNC staffer, Seth Rich.
Moore's complaint also alleged "anomalous" higher voter turnout in Jefferson County, in which census data shows 43% of the population is black. He called the county's 47% voter turnout as "highly unusual" and questioned the integrity of its election results.
How can that be? It's not like his opponent notoriously jailed a group of people who hate black peop-oh wait.
This is from Virginia but kind of relevant. I can't believe the GOP's off-year turnout advantage is fucking dead

So, so, so happy Jones won, not only is he a quintillion times better than moore, the salt from moore is pretty hilarious.
Resident of huntsville, alabama here.
My FB feed is a goldmine of autistic screeching from conservatives.
Would be awesome if Moore’s lawsuit actually backfired and uncovered massive voter suppression by the GOP.

I have doubts about its authenticity, but it was uploaded by a court reporter so there's that, at least. If this is real, hoo boy, I've seen a bit of legal discourse about its contents; I'll summarize what I've heard.
As if this entire situation isn't funny enough, Paragraph 22 is a good laugh.
Moore claims he passed a polygraph test that confirms that the allegations of misconduct are false. There's no affidavit from the polygraph tester. There is, however, an affidavit from Moore himself. In which, he doesn't claim he never met the three women mentioned in the paragraph, but instead claims that the polygraph shows that he didn't. Polygraphs are generally inadmissible in court, and furthermore, this has tangential relation to the voter fraud claim at best.
Then there's Paragraphs 58-66, in which Moore claims voter intimidation occurred because of his supporters' worries that their votes would be made public. Pages 75-79 doxxes a few of his supporters. So, their fear that the information would be made public came true! Not because of some Democratic conspiracy, but because Moore's team doesn't know about redaction.

The affidavit itself sits on page 32 and it's goddamn hilarious, I suggest people read it if you're looking for a giggle.

Also yellowhammer news is like the breitbart of alabama. Literally fearmongering to old white people.
For the first time I wish I had a cringe hazmat suit like Ethan and Hila from H3H3, because reading those comments was so bad I squinted like I ate something sour.
God damn.

hey roy go back to your retirement home, i heard the guests in there act like children which might just be your thing
Clearly those tens of thousands of votes that went for his opponent were illegals that were out in the streets cheering on 9/11

Doug's right, which is why it's hilarious that the RNC and president actually supported a candidate so bad that one of the most braindead states in the union couldn't bear to elect him.
[editline]28th December 2017[/editline]
No offense to your braindead state, Persecution.
But Roy, you said that God would decide the victor here.
You're not trying to tell us God was wrong, are you, Roy?

None taken. We're getting the ball rolling to Alabama not being pathetic, but its a long way to go.
I wouldn't call this guy a christian, even in the loosest definition of the term. Seems to me he's saying all this shit not out of faith, but because there are people who wouldn't dare vote for a nonchristian, especially in alabama.
he's not a traditional Christian, like most republicans, he's just a MODERN 'American' version of it. He's about as Chrisian as apple pie, baseball, and gum you found on your shoe is American, that is according to other Christian Americans.
The Christians that act like this would pull a 'no true scotsman' on Democratic Christians, because apparently Jesus wouldn't be a socialist and would be fine with the rich being such as they are in the US.

Lmao, get fucked Moore.
From the above article.
To this day, Republicans note, Mr. Moore has not conceded his losses in the 2006 or 2010 Republican primaries for governor, and there is already speculation in Montgomery that he might run for for governor or attorney general next year.
lol

I feel like he probably would
He'd probably be a strange form of some kind of libertarian socialist, something like that. I can't think of anything else he'd be.
Get FUCKED Moore! God decided that you're a loser!
I can just imagine him now
"Damnit, they certified him! What do we do?!"
"Deploy more buzzwords! Quickly!"
"U-uh... globalist conspiracy! Fake news! Liberal lies! Voter suppression...?"
