• I have 1 month to do as much as possible to change my image - please help
    47 replies, posted
Hi, School starts again in like 35 days and I kinda vowed to my friends that I would come back a changed man. Currently I'm quite skinny and have a bit of fat on my stomach so I want to try and get wider shoulders and tone my abs. I'm not looking to get ripped or massive, I just want to look healthy and a little bulkier so that I don't look like a pussy. My biceps are fine I think, but I'd like to get bigger forearms and wrists because although they're pretty strong, they don't look it and I'm a bit insecure about them. I'm gonna get gym membership next month so I'll be able to use gym equipment, and I'm planning to buy a set of weights (budget £30) but I'm not sure what to get, so help there will be good too. Thanks :)
Again, minimalistic goals. If you want help from people who have earned their respect in this field with years (at least me) of practice and all you're asking is stupid, teenage, immature questions men should not ask. Yes, you did set yourself a goal. For other people though? FUCK 'EM! They can sit on my gigantic penisand enjoy the view. Why would I waste my time, give you answers from my hard earned experience, when you're yourself aren't giving even 10% of what you have? I'm too tired to explain, it's 3:27 am, I just finished 3 sets with chicks, failing misreably. Feels bad. I want to come here to WtF, see some decent questions and all I get are stupid ass questions that insult mine and everyone else's intellegence. I say, fuck you. Go to the bathroom, look at the mirror, envision what you want. Got it? The image? Great. Build a program, understand what you're doing, make this a lifestyle. Set yourself up for success, not losing. You point out forearms n shit because society thinks they look great and it's enough to "impress". Fuck you again, are you looking to impress? then chop your balls n serve those to people who give a damn. Come the fuck back here, after a month, with a decent program and questions. Tough love baby. I'm sick n tired of these idiotic idealistic morons who pursue shadows of images they wish to look like. Be yourself, enjoy yourself goddamn it bro, feel the passion when you do stuff. Life is short n you're wasting it. Good night.

There's not denying you've been fed from the wrong spoon. I can make people's life better in 5 seconds. Because people are that insecure inside that they can't notice their own strength and need to feel better with themselves by inflicting regimes upon themselves they don't truly want to do just to satisfy this supposed "hunger". Gain credibility, sure. I'd like to walk down the street and have stares just because my bicep is about to blow up. But that's the thing, no one gives a fuck. You think muscle would gain you popularity? sure. For a month. It's superficial and the only popularity you'll truly gain is from guys. Are you gay? no. You want the girls attention. You think girls think like guys, with their vaginas? no. Your perception of life was fed to you through the generations and media. You're an image of society. I am, the opposite. I control society and behave accordingly whenever the fuck I want. Fuck people. Fuck everybody. You want to really impress your friends? be the man you're and start believing in yourself instead of dealing with your distorted self image which causes nothing but pain. Life is a stick. Grab it, break it to pieces n glue it the way you want. Doctoring yourself abs n suffering so you could have a 6 pack for a month is fucking useless. If you want my help, ask for it the right way. I forge men, not sissy girls who want something just because forbes magazine says so. Confidence, self love, is the key to everything. All you need is your mouth.

I'm prepared and determined to get in better shape, I just don't know where or how to start which is why I came here. Like I said, I don't even want muscle, I just want to look better. I know the importance of self confidence etc. etc. and I have no issues in that department, but I think my body is one of the last things that need to be improved before I become the person I want to be.
Well, can't help you if you aren't true to yourself. I mean, come on, who'd admit they lack confidence? who admit they want girls attention lil bit more? Nevermind. Bodyimage is how you look at yourself. I have a fat friend, looks shit n all and feels more lively and is GODDAMN more successful at picking up girls than me. He's the meaning of life. I wake up in the morning feeling like shit. He wakes up? And the goddamn world greets his welcome from the heaven he had been to in the last 8 hours sleeping. You think??? You're not sure? People step on you, because you feel like a nobody. When you feel like a nobody you act like one. I was the same. Yes, I started working out but for the right reasons - I just loved the rush. That's why, I am, standing higher than most people and I can look down on people not the opposite. You want to look better? You don't want muscle? get in shape? so you wanna lose weight and leave yourself in the middle of the battlefield? im sorry im so harsh n weird right now, but come on. Piss off. YOU WANT POWER? STRENGTH? ADMIRATION? BEING POPULAR? Say it to yourself and you'll know what to do to get those. 1. If you're willing to work hard, I'll go along with ya. You gotta prove it to me first and I ain't gonna tell you how. 2. Gaining a body is one thing. fondness of everybody around you? true fondness? it takes self work. PSYCHOLOGY 101 = END. ffs, I'm outtie. good night.

I don't need to be lectured on this stuff - I am honestly aware of what matters in life, how to conduct myself and what mindset to live life in, and trust me - I'm normally the one doing the lecturing. I didn't come here to receive deep bullshit about my inner being, I came here to receive fitness advice. You need to stop thinking of yourself as some revolutionary who has traveled through life and become enlightened - you're not that special. Start seeing things at face value and stop being so goddamn dramatic about everything.
Ahahahaha

As stated, you seem to be wanting to please others, which is why you want to work out. It should be a self-driven motive, not because you promised your friends. Edit: All your reasons to work out are because of opinions is basically what I'm saying, which isn't the way to go about things.
plz help i want to be schwarznegro in 1 month!!! Go buy some AAS I guess.

I promised my friends so that I wouldn't back out and would have to put up with some shit if I don't stay committed. It really is completely self driven, and all the advice he gave me was to piss off and come back when I had manned up :v:
On a semi-serious note, you are not going to change your appearance all that much in one month. Three months would be reasonable, but still shortsighted. You'll hit up some newb gains if you eat and train hard, but not enough that the girls are going be tearing their panties off to get at your conan dick sorry

Could I at least tone my stomach fat down so that it's noticeably less?
how far do you think I could get in 1 month? One month of trying to build muscle won't be so dramatic. You can hit up newb gains while in caloric deficit, so just go fucking train. Just don't inflate your head with dreams that you're going to go back to school looking like ryan renolds and bitches will be moist at the sight of you.

I don't care about my health or fitness at all, I just want to do this so that I gain credibility, like I said

This will be hard work and, if you don't get there in one month, don't be discouraged. And yes, you do have to start thinking about your health and fitness a lot more now. It's not tedious, it'll also help you a lot in the long run. Look into this thread where another member asked for advice: http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1110664-Working-out-at-home-what-do-I-need

If I improve my diet will my fat go down a little? It sounds stupid and pathetic that I don't want to do cardio but I don't care about my body that much that I would do cardio to lose fat (at the moment)

Fat loss is all about calories in vs calories out, so it doesn't really matter what fucking exercise you do. Plenty of dudes cut doing nothing but lifting heavy shit. That said your results would come quicker and easier if you just manned the fuck up and did a bit of cardio now and then.

As for your jerking off muscles Wrist curls Dumbell flyes overhead press and hate to burst your bubble but if you're being too bitch to run every now and then, i doubt you are going to have the perseverance to do heavy lifts like OH press

You won't ruin your holidays, do it in your spare time. You gotta focus. You're going to get a gym membership right? Forget about the bet, you won't really see significant gains in a month just doing lifts that deal with your forearms and shoulder muscles. Think about how farther you can go. Just look at the thread I linked, and your whole body will be appreciate the gains. How can you say cardio destroys your lungs? It's more like the opposite thing it does? I hate when people come in here, like disrespecting jerks. Are you sure you even want the answers to all those questions? To get "toned" you can't just say: "Fuck my body, i just wanna look good, so people will respect me more." THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS! To loose fat you'd need to respect your body and do what's good for it. Now to the cardio thing: I hated running. I really did. Now, i run 6.5 miles every other day, and it feels fucking good. So pull yourself together.
OP you will either have to dedicate yourself to do it or don't do it at all.
OP you will either have to dedicate yourself to do it or don't do it at all.
I am dedicated, seriously, I'm just not prepared to do cardio, but having said that I will run for 10 minutes today and see how it goes
words
you need to seriously consider becoming a motivational speaker [editline]28th July 2011[/editline] or some kind of coach, but goddamn I thought that was good as fuck
LOL, thanks
