The streaming service, which stepped up to make the last revival feasible, will air six episodes, which will be billed as the series’ “final season.” AMC, which developed and aired the show for its first three seasons, will have no part in the latest move for the Fox Television Studios series.
I never watched this show specifically but I do like Netflix's habit of reviving shows that had been dropped by other networks. I just hope their revivals continue to be good ones.
I wish they were able to do that for Firefly, but I guess it's too late for that now.
I wish they were able to do that for Firefly, but I guess it's too late for that now.
Well there's a comic book series that I think takes place after Serenity. So the story exists although it's not in screen format.

Didn't Joss Whedon say that if he continued Firefly that Serenity would be non-canon?
The Scandinavian version is really, really good. Give it a try. Scandinavia is really good at crime series for some reason.
-snip-
I loved the Killing. The two lead actors really carried the show. It doesn't really need more than 6 episodes to accomplish what it does best either. I highly recommend people check this out on Netflix now.
Stargate Universe season 3 please.
Please, just one more season. The setting was so great. The aliens were actually alien and all the scientists in the show got friendzoned

Sure, the story is there, but it's not quite the same.
Yeah but some of the best characters wouldn't be in it. Didn't Joss Whedon say that if he continued Firefly that Serenity would be non-canon?
Yes, he did. I'm only embittered because Firefly never got its due. Serenity was great, however. It's just an absolute shame that the show always seemed to end up a day late and a dollar short.
Stargate Universe season 3 please.
Oh hell yeah, while it was completely different, it was a really good series in my eyes. It certainly had a nice mood around it.
Hmmm the fourth season of Arrested Development on Netflix was terrible.
Hmmm the fourth season of Arrested Development on Netflix was terrible.
I completely agree, couldn't even get halfway through the first episode.. Nice avatar by the way [:
People disagreeing on SGU probably gave up before seeing season 2, I'd kill for a third season. David Hewlett saved the sets, iirc.
I'm an avid Stargate fan, and I say let SGU be at rest. The setting was just, awesome, but the writing... Oh god the writing. If it wasn't for Colonel Young and Rush, the show wouldn't have lasted as long as it did. Eli was cool, too, but it just wasn't enough to overcome the "dark moody hallways" and bad plot.
I wish they were able to do that for Firefly, but I guess it's too late for that now.
[sp]Wash and Book are both dead[/sp], [del]the guy who played Book is dead irl[/del] (never mind that, just a rumor), the other participants have long since moved on to other projects... It just wouldn't work. We can still keep flying though. It's not much, but it's enough.
the guy who played Book is dead irl
Um, what? Ron Glass was just in the Agent's of Shield pilot? And in an episode of...something else, a sitcom thing. He's fine?

I think it's great how Netflix shows manage to be better than a reasonable deal of of television. House Of Cards and Orange Is The New Black are absolutely amazing.
Um, what? Ron Glass was just in the Agent's of Shield pilot? And in an episode of...something else, a sitcom thing. He's fine?
Huh. Just checked IMDB, and you're right. He's alive and well. I wonder where that rumor came from?
I have this terrible knack for picking up shows that never finished. I watched both Firefly and SGU without knowing beforehand that they were unfinished :((

Only two seasons, but definitely worth watching. It's got unbelievably good writing.
People disagreeing on SGU probably gave up before seeing season 2, I'd kill for a third season. Leave the bloated corpse of a once great sci-fi franchise buried.

Obviously opinions may vary, but I don't know anyone that likes SGU that would claim it's of outstanding quality, but I personally liked it quite a bit.
Twin Peaks! I know it's 20 years later, but just give me something.
Now what if Netflix resurrected Firefly.
People disagreeing on SGU probably gave up before seeing season 2, I'd kill for a third season.
