Jesus christ, I feel like I have taken a trip back in time to the winter blizzards in Buffalo, NY around the late 90's/early 2000's. It's a kind of hell that you hate when it's happening, but are nostalgic for a few years down the road because of hot chocolate and yellow perch steaks. Such is life. Also, fox village is adorable.
Same thing for Iowa. We used to get massive amounts of snow but, at least where I live, the last seven winters have been absolutely tame and disappointing. Every year, I'm excited to survive through a winter hellscape, and it never comes. Maybe that excitement is coming from a nostalgic point of view but... damn... I kind of miss having the lights go out and huddling under several layers of blankets in an ice storm.
I never expected Japan to be so snowy either. Where I live in England right now is higher up than where Japan is yet all we get is pissing rain
He has a hitler cat plushie.

Then on my first year there up til my last it only snowed once or twice a year. After I left they started getting blizzards and lakes started freezing every year :v:
