"can you call my mobile, I think I lost it" chain-mail thing. - General

Basically you'll receive a message from one of your contacts saying something along the lines of "Hey I've lost my phone, can you ring it so I can find it.", to which if you ring the phone, they send a message saying " haha *insult here* how could I of lost my phone if I just text you from it?" I've usually shut the person up by just telling them "most phone service providers do allow you to text from your number, using their website!" failing that there is fishtext ( which myself, and a lot of my friends, also use ). Anybody else heard/received this crappy attempt of a chain mail?

I thought a chain mail was something you had to pass on and do to someone else or else crazy things like, "dead girls with no eyes and blood running down their faces will be standing in your room at night with a knives" happen to you?

If it isn't directly, then it is extremely close to a chain mail.

I usually get the "I love you. Send this text to 15 people. 1 text means you're unloved *blah blah* 15 texts mean you're very loved". I don't reply to them because they're stupid and I know I won't get any back... :sigh:
