Pretty cool looking, it'll never have that real Wipeout feel though.
Pretty cool looking, it'll never have that real Wipeout feel though.
In what way? [editline]20th October 2013[/editline] Well, it's made by members of WipEoutZone, not Studio Liverpool.
The graphics are sort of a letdown. I mean, surely you can do better than that.
The graphics are sort of a letdown. I mean, surely you can do better than that.
The graphics are tolerable, I think the collision and control mechanics need work.. It seems a little clunky at the moment. Then again it's not like it's a AAA game, they're probably working on a tight budget for what they can get done.
Hey! I'm from the SSGX team. Just wanted to clear out that we are working with Unity Free (no fancy graphics effects like HDR and soft shading and correct lighting), no budget at all and in our free time. We aren't professional game designers either, just some guys from several countries around the world who had the crazy idea of making a fan-based Wipeout game, set in the same universe.
The tracks don't look wide enough, you're practically bouncing off the walls on every turn
The tracks don't look wide enough, you're practically bouncing off the walls on every turn
Either that or the handling is loose. Pretty sure that's the actual width of a WipEout track.
Yeah, you're correct - I was remembering Wipeout XL (my personal fav), but the recent games have tracks at around the same width.
The control of the car and physics look a bit clunky at times, but it looks like it plays like any Wipeout game.
