[del]I just recently got into making DeathRap and have found a great liking to Death Rap. I've never rapped before in my life, but here's my first track. I seriously think I can get into this. Listen Here (Soundcloud)[/del] Oh nevermind, damn it all to hell.
you are a bad rapper the beat is lame and its poorly mixed
cool dj name my dj name is DJ evil
you are a bad rapper the beat is lame and its poorly mixed
Poorly mixed on purpose, and I've never rapped before in my life. Something I'm willing to work on. Thanks, brah.
Poorly mixed on purpose
Bullshit. There is a difference between going for a lofi sound and being poorly mixed. [editline]17th August 2013[/editline] Generally speaking, if you're drawing out syllables in random words to make your lines the same length you're bad at writing raps. It should flow without you having to do that. [editline]17th August 2013[/editline] Also, the lyrics are so awkwardly "look how dark and edgy i am" that it's impossible to take this even remotely seriously as a piece of music. It just feels like a bad joke to me :/

I wrote the song with inspiration from Butchers Harem. Death rap/snuff porn rap calls for brutal violent lyrics. So I figured, why not give it a try. I had fun with it and figured I'd like to do more. The lyrics are just morbid fantasy. I had fun and that's all that really matters to me. Thanks.
Poorly mixed on purpose, and I've never rapped before in my life. Something I'm willing to work on. Thanks, brah.
you didn't poorly mix it on purpose don't bullshit, and trust me the first time i ever rapped it was infinitely better than this and i like to think i'm usually pretty modest about my music, especially rapping don't post something bad and then say "oh but.. its my first time" as a copout from criticism. practice and become a decent rapper before you decide to release stuff [editline]20th August 2013[/editline] and writing lyrics for a shitty genre isnt an excuse for shit lyrics either. i can listen to Necro and enjoy it because he at least is good at what he does. this is just tryhard edgy shit
Bullshit. It's like those people who write lazy music and write it off as minimaliastic. I agree with this as well, even if you look at a stupid genre like lolicore, effort is still put into the song.

Learn to make proper beats and then learn to form a flow around it. and stop doing that Sir Graves Ghastly voice, it's hilarious :v: [editline]Edit:[/editline] this is a proper death-rap song learn from uncle Necro
Ugh Nevermind. Hate to ragequit.
Don't just quit. Get some inspiration and improve. Nothing great was achieved right off the bat.
It seems that every time I make something that I'm proud of, people go and take a fat shit all over it. You guys probably could care less but whatever. https://soundcloud.com/shoesauce/terminator-dubstep-full-length https://soundcloud.com/shoesauce/dial-tone https://soundcloud.com/shoesauce/symphonic-rap-beat-full 3 tracks I thought were amazing. I'm completely self taught, I use FL Studio, I've never used tutorials, I've figured out everything myself through trial and error. My family knows I make music and enjoy it, they've all told me I'm never going to make it anywhere with the things I enjoy. All I want to do is make music that I, myself can enjoy along with other people. Every time I try it's like I'm the only person who enjoys it while everyone else hates it. Sorry for the pitty post. I'll leave you all alone now, like I said, none of you are interested in my bullshit. One more thing, this is what inspired my horrorcore song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyH3D_7u0TQ

If you think we're taking a fat shit on what you posted you're ignorant, we're providing constructive criticism. You literally sound like someone dry heaving or struggling to breath, you had zero flow and the beat was utter ass. Hate to break it to you kid but it takes time to improve. [sp]if you want to be a hardcore 2edgy4me "horrorcore" artist maybe you shouldn't be such a bitch when it comes to taking criticism[/sp]
Music, like anything, takes a lot of practice to do well. You should channel that frustration in to a drive to learn more. Don't say you've never used tutorials like that's a good thing, it's kind of silly to intentionally avoid absorbing more information when you are just starting out. It's good that you've got the drive to learn by playing around because that's important too, but you're going to progress a lot slower if you don't read/watch tutorials at all. Read this for starters: http://www.dnbscene.com/article/88-thinking-inside-the-box-a-complete-eq-tutorial
You know Dr. Toothpick, I can understand where you are coming from (except maybe on the death rap lyrics haha), the thing is that Facepunch is honest and once you learn to except that they aren't necessarily trying to insult you, they are just being 10x more honest than any person would be in real life, you can start to take something useful from it. I will admit, your Death Rap was awful, but I don't think you are awful at making beats, you just need to keep practicing. Your Symphonic Rap beat, and Dial Tone both have potential, they just need some refinement which comes with time trying and trying again.
