That's pieces of legislature from seven different states, that clearly deny Atheists their constitutional rights.
Those states are Arkansas, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Massachusetts, in that order. These pieces of legislature are a direct violation of our constitutional rights, and I believe us Americans should not stand for it. Even if you are a believer, can you have a clear conscience when these direct violations of our rights on your fellow man continue? I hope not. These, horrendous, bigotry-fueled laws must change. And you can help.
I used a respected, credible website called Change.org to create an online petition, that will send a letter on your behalf upon reaching our goal of fifty-thousand signatures. While some personal information needs to be provided, it is sent via a secure connection and is not displayed on the site.

Feel free to call him up and tell him what you think. After all, statistics say that a phone call is 10,000 times more effective than a letter.
Fight for your rights, America. Take action.
(P.S., if there is a way to embed a snazzy HTML widget on here, I'd like to know)
And THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is the problem with the U.S. of A.
Interesting...
I shall sign.

Thank you.
Oh, big whoop. No one probably even notices those.
What the flying fuck?
You're missing Massachusetts.

I'm a Christian, and I get my rights in the USA, theres no reason an atheist shouldn't either.
Oh no, I can't read apparently. And as for dumb ratings, you're entitled to your opinion.
as if anyone cares lol
or notices nonetheless

You'd be surprised.

And nothing of value was lost.
EDIT
I will use your boxes for my box fort and your tears as adhesive!
These are called Freedoms people gosh do you not live in the USA :downs:
I hope I am the only person who witnesses Obamas murder, that way I cannot testify. :smug:
Do any of us really intend to run in the government anyway? I find it hard to believe a Facepuncher will be the next Governor or President or CIA Agent. The only one I really have a problem with is involving courts. So if we saw a murder or better yet were nearly the victim of a murder but do not believe in a God, case invalid?

It's still fucking bullshit.
The problem is that according to the laws of those states, Atheists may not lead in government. Something that needs to change.
The letter, I'm sorry to say, is poorly written.

The case won't be invalid, you just couldn't testify, which is a direct violation of our duty to serve on a jury and testify when called.

Okay, I'm noticing this is only for the state of Arkansas? What about the other states or is Arkansas just more important, I don't see any where in that petition that mentions that they should change the laws in Pennsylvania in which I currently reside.
And if someone can do me a favor and give me a credible source that states these laws are actually in effect, because I don't wanna hype something up that could be all bull shit.
Yeah, I don't see any source that says these are actual laws, so this is pretty much Complete non sensible bullshit
Yeah this is pretty fucked. I'll sign.
Pfft I'm Canadian.
I hope I am the only person who witnesses Obamas murder, that way I cannot testify. :smug:
What the fuck does that have to do with anything? Obama didn't freaking make these laws.
atheism is dumb teenage rebellion
These are old laws that have no real meaning anymore. Besides if anyone really tried to enforce these laws then it would be incredibly easy to declare them unconstitutional.
Get fucked atheists

You have to start somewhere specific. In the black rights movement, a contribution to many of their failures was setting too broad a target.
I'm a Christian, and I get my rights in the USA, theres no reason an atheist shouldn't either.
that's and admirable stance, hats off to you my good man.
This is specifically catholic orientated.
Anyway, I'm apatheist.
noone CARES
It's not a hateful thing, it's just they couldn't think of a way to make an atheist promise not to lie, as he has no religious attachments.

Look at the state constitutions.
Also, I need specific complaints on the letter before I change it.
