I'm fucking führerious right now. How could I not see this coming? Refugees gonna steal mah eggs!
There's also this from four months ago: [t]http://i.imgur.com/14meI8Q.jpg[/t]
I dont think really anyone expected this movie to be good. Let alone this good.
Way too many references to call it a small uintended accident.
There's also this from four months ago: [t]http://i.imgur.com/14meI8Q.jpg[/t]
Wow this is really far fetched, especially the German color thing made me laugh since back in 2009 when Angry Birds was created those colors/birds were already there so its not like they made them specifically for the movie.
/pol/ the animated film

It is strange why they chose to choose those three specifically and for them to be aligned like that in every scene they are seen in. While some of the things on that image are probably quite far-fetched, there is a lot of evidence to suggest that this is all an allusion to Germany. [editline]23rd May 2016[/editline] Also, the eagle bit makes it way too fucking obvious too. There is no way that isn't intentional.
This movie looks straight up bad for kids.
How so?
Surprised he didn't mention the symbolism between the actual game and 9/11
You guys are digging way to much into it. The Red, Yellow and Black birds are the most common ones in the game and the Eagle is a super bird in the game. All the "symbolic meanings" in the movie are just tired cliches. "Former amazing person is now fat and lazy." "Invaders come who everyone in the town welcomes as visitors, but the main character knows the truth that they are evil." Main character is the only one who knows the truth, but he's an outcast because of it." The movie has been in production long before the refugee crises began. They wouldn't suddenly decide to start changing their children's movie to make a political statement.
-It's not like refugees steal something here and then go back to their wealthier country, like the pigs do in this movie. -And the pigs in planes part might have something to do with the expression "Yeah, when pigs fly!" which would be the reason why the black bird would be surprised. That's the point of the saying after all. Pigs can't fly. -The TNT on the ship isn't anything special either, because in the game the pigs also have TNT lying around which you can use to defeat them. -The birds flying into the buildings of the pigs would remind anyone of 9/11. But since the birds in this interpretation are supposed to be the West this doesn't make sense. -And just as a side note. Many countries use the eagle as a symbol for themselves, not just the US. Germany uses it too. And I think Europeans generally don't look to America for political advice. No offense lol The entire interpretation of this video is pretty far fetched.

I think it's a just big fat coincidence like the Les Baines crash.
i'll concede that there can be a fair few coincidences on the cutting room floor. but let me tell you something about shooting and editing a film, even an animated one: literally nothing gets put in the frame without at least a couple discussions on the meaning and symbolism. with the exception of small budget films, anything you see in a multi-million dollar film like Angry Birds is going to have passed through many rounds of producer-executive discussion
That's some heavy subliminal messaging.
I'm suddenly getting an urge to support donald trump from this movie. Make Mighty Eagle Great Again!
I'm suddenly getting an urge to support donald trump from this movie. Make Mighty Eagle Great Again!
what if they make a sequel to this movie but this time it becomes an allusion to the 2016 us election :v:
Any one of these things by itself could be a tasteless throwaway joke, there's tons of them though.
Any one of these things by itself could be a tasteless throwaway joke, there's tons of them though.
Why tasteless?
What's funny is I always read the exact opposite interpretation. The birds suicide bombing themselves into the buildings of the decadent and industrialized Western Pigs. In fact, American influence being seen as a threat to their culture and detrimental to their country was one of the main motivations Al-Qaeda.
holy shit it's literally a south park episode cleverly disguised as a kids movie i can't believe i'm saying this but i need to fucking watch this
Maybe I was just in the wrong mood or something, but it was actually a pain for me to sit through. The jokes and overall directing left room for few neutral moments, only for them to be overlaid with the worst song choices imaginable.

The rest is country music and deceased memes. If I had ever watched the minions movie, I imagine it would've been quite similar; a bundle of jokes with a loose story around it. The nicest thing I could say about it was that it was pretty, and the ending finale had its charm.

In the end I still cant believe that the harshest criticism of migration policies in the film industry came turned out to be the Angry Birds movie, I swear I'd have laughed my ass off if I heard this last year.

Maybe bizkit is cheaper?
The Ox and Keith Moon don't deserve this
