Today at the Walt Disney Company’s annual shareholders meeting, Disney CEO Bob Iger ran through their upcoming slate of movies for the next few years. After barreling through live-action films, Iger turned to Pixar making some surprising announcements. New sequels to “Cars” and “The Incredibles” are in the works at Pixar. No further details were given, other than to say director Brad Bird is back for “The Incredibles 2″ and “Cars 3″ is also in development. Pixar’s other upcoming films include “Inside Out,” “The Good Dinosaur,” and “Finding Dory.
Source.
INCREDIBLES 2 YES!!
CARS 3 NO!!
If Pixar manage to keep the same dark tone that The Incredibles had then I have very high hopes for it.
Fuck no, the Cars series has always been shit I have good hopes for an Incredibles sequel though
I wish Pixar just continued making original movies. Just let the classics be.
i question the source
i question the source
I listened to the livestream of the Walt Disney Company shareholders meeting here and he said exactly what was in the source. When they make the file available (if they do), you can go back and check.
I wish Pixar just continued making original movies. Just let the classics be.
But they still are. Two original movies are in production- The Good Dinosaur and Inside Out.
i question the source
https://d23.com/whats-next-walt-disney-company/ Here's an official Disney source.
i question the source
Why? it's all information coming from the shareholders meeting
I wish Pixar just continued making original movies. Just let the classics be.
The last time they made an original movie, they ended up making Brave.
I AM THE UNDERMINER!
The last time they made an original movie, they ended up making Brave.
whats wrong with brave?
whats wrong with brave?
It was an 'ok' movie, especially when compared to the other movies in the Pixar library and the other releases of that years.
whats wrong with brave?
Visually it's nice, but the story is all over the place and just didn't do a lot for me personally.
I wish Pixar just continued making original movies. Just let the classics be.
IMHO Incredible needs a sequal
Wasn't the Incredibles video game supposed to be the "sequel" to the movie? Didn't it even begin where the movie left off?
What interesting timing for this to come up. I just watched The Incredibles again last night.
The last time they made an original movie, they ended up making Brave.
Yes, Brother Be- I mean Brave was so original.
IMHO Incredible needs a sequal
incredible really deserves it, but cars was bad IMO.
Wasn't the Incredibles video game supposed to be the "sequel" to the movie? Didn't it even begin where the movie left off?
WHat game. There was no game.
Yes, Brother Be- I mean Brave was so original.
Other than the bear, how was it like Brother Bear?
Finding Dory why
I guess Ellen DeGerenes' begging finally paid off. I think they announced it April last year and I was so sure it was gonna be an April Fool's.
WHat game. There was no game.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Incredibles:_Rise_of_the_Underminer ??
I suppose Cars 3 is just in case Incredibles 2 doesn't do so well or earn enough by chance. The Cars merch will be more than enough to cover the costs of both films.
Other than the bear, how was it like Brother Bear?
I guess it's a bit of an exaggeration, but I didn't like seeing that exact same plot device being re-used. Still a good movie, though.
THE INCREDIBLES 2 HOLY SHIT I'VE BEEN WAITING YEARS FOR THIS
Eugh, cars 3... I called the suicide hotline because of Cars 2. They told me to do it.
well i'll admit its no Wall-E or Up, but personally i found it to be quite nice, didn't found the story to be bad actually.
The thing was Wall-E and Up were marketed as heartwarming, beautiful tales. Brave was marketed as this ferocious, dark Pixar movie which was sort of new territory for them. I was expecting a great heroic, mythological story which the trailers and the advertisements built it up to be, but it all just boiled down to [sp]awww they're bears, they're back to their lovingly instinct of being a family, everyone go home now[/sp] In my opinion they should have focused the story more on Mor'du, (which I think they were going to do originally before the first director got fired) they really could have done some neat stuff with that and lived up to the hype they were building with the film. ANYWAYS IT'S A KIDS FILM, I'll stop ranting, sorry.
Yes, Brother Be- I mean Brave was so original.
wtf is up with the hatred towards Brave? I personally liked it a lot, i thought the message was clearly about the whole problematic daughter-mother relationship being worked up on. Its not like brother bear is the only movie out there where a human gets turned into an animal, so whats your point?
