now that's something that I haven't seen in any other Strategy game... ever
I've never seen this ingame before. Interesting.

I discovered it by accident when I spammed 7 hummels and had them firing away at a target, some weapon crews started taking damage and dying.
Thats damned realistic
other video in that "series"

To be honest, I wouldn't call MoW an RTS, it feels like it's closer to simulation. Very good game (series) though.
Or maybe something like Real Time Tactics Simulation, RTTS?

Men of War is no where near simulation. You have to consider the ranges of the weapons.
Theatre of War is a true simulation, with tanks shooting each other at 1000m ranges, not the 170m-ish max range of Men of War

Well yeah, obviously the ranges are crunched down, but rest of the game, penetration values, impact angles, accuracy, visibility, stuff like that. And I said "closer to simulation".
Either way, MoW series is RTT, not RTS.

fuel consumption is much higher than IRL rates
the infantry combat system is a bit arcadeish, with self-healing, crazy inventory space, and soldiers ramboing it with DsHKs and M2HBs, and the damage falloff is a bit much (wait, so my sniper rifle does 10 damage if I don't aim it, but 100 damage if I do aim it? WHAAAAAA)

theatre of war is a shit series though by a money hungry company and made by 1C which also shit on the men of war series and the game does not work properly on 80% of computers
not to mention it runs like shit on all computers and the games are all broken
mow is playable at the least

but yeah 1c is shitty.
Trotskygrad, I guess you haven't heard of Achtung Panzer: Kharkov 1943 or Combat Mission: Battle for Normandy. Both of them I consider high end sims and are true RTT's

Combat Mission yes, the other one no.
Graphics leave things to be desired though
compared to ToW 2/3
looked at Achtung Panzer, seems nice.
