Need help making a specific sounding synth is FL studio
Hey, so my friends and I are making a parody of a "like a G6" and I am trying to recreate the sound of the main hooks synthesizer. Now I am finished recording our voices and making the music, I would just like to make the basic sound of it richer.
Here is just the melody of the hook to show you what it is now.

Now I realize that I may get a lot of boxes due to the song choice, but trust me, it is going to be great (I hope). Any tips on what whatever I need to do to get it sounding more like the original would be very appreciated.
Distort an 808 kick or something, you'll instantly be way closer than you are now.
Thanks, I researched the 808 kick and came up with this.

Sound better? I am not very good at making my own sounds in FL as I have not used the program for too long. I played around with sytrus to get the new sound. Is there anything more specific that can be done?
Yeah it sounds better
closer now that you've got the sub in there, I was actually talking about replacing the synth that you're using for the main melody with an 808 kick and playing higher notes with it so the 808 is less subby. Then throw some distortion on it to give it the bite that it's got in the song.
Thank you very much KmartSqrl! I actually got something that sounds decent thanks to your advice.

Ill be sure to post the finished parody on facepunch and add you in the credits. It will be towards the end of the year as we are shooting the video in a week.
