what the fuck
Jesus what a bitch.
3 year old video.
Also he moved out. His mom had taken all his shit away while he was still living at home (guitar, gear, computer, etc.) the only thing left was his phone which he had to hide. About 3 weeks later he moved out but he never got his gear back and his dad chipped in and bought him some new stuff.
His mom is a total bitch.
shit like this makes me thankful for my parents and what I have, honestly.
Ahhhhh reminds me of my mum. :v:
such ignorance.
she probably works in advertising
"Where are your stupid friends? Sitting at home, playing on their computers all day long? Playing with their, their game things"
That's me in a nutshell. Go to school, talk to friends at lunch, go home and talk to them some more on Steam.
I'd love to know what she does.
This is someone on facepunch, can't remember who though. I'm not sure how they'd feel about OP calling their mum a cunt, but she is being extremely rude
I'd love to know what she does.
Seems like a video game publisher to me
This video is really unsettling because I feel like it's what's on the tip of my mum's tongue every time she hears me playing games with my friend's in a TS3/Skype call or walks in to my room while I'm playing games. I guess I'm lucky she's never said anything. I never get it this bad but I get snippets.
Also I'm pretty sure she'd be happy if I was playing guitar rather than gaming.
Actually as far as I can tell anything is better than gaming, like for some reason sitting watching the TV is actually less 'destructive' and 'sickening' (her words) than gaming.
I'd like some more backstory. If he's over 18 years old, unemployed, and simply lives off of her without doing anything to improve his situation, I fail to see how she's in the wrong here.
Although this may have absolutely nothing to do with something like that, and it's simply her going "Stop doing things I don't like doing"
Reminds me to a harsher version of my dad.
What makes her so high n mighty? What amazingly heavenly accomplished life is she living in comparison?
oh come on... there's far worse she could have said and nobody here knows the family history at all.
How do we know she's not a single parent and struggling to keep herself together?
All we notice is how she hates her son practising his hobby and not communicating with her mother about it. The problem here isn't just the mother, at all.. it's the son having a total blank face about it all and not giving a shit. How about you talk up for once, have some balls to do what you believe. Convince people what you're doing is for your benefit and not just killing time.

Precisely... how much hard graft is it to just sit down and jam? Unless you're the bread-winner and become successful then yes but clearly he's just chilling.
I was lucky to have very musical parents, my father has played guitar since his teen years and my mother always loved music. I can't explain how lucky I feel when I think about it, they bought me my first drumset and when I grew out of that and started playing my father's guitars my parents surprised me with my own guitar on Christmas of '05. Anyone who visits the Guitar Discussion in the Music section knows that I still have that guitar. They were always supportive of me and my ability even though I didn't do great in school and slacked off on my chores. They never took away my guitar because they knew I had an extreme passion for it, my computer and my TV yes but never my guitar.
I can't say what is going on in this family but if it is true that he bought all of his own gear then it is pretty unlikely that he doesn't work, that amp head alone is worth about 2 grand. Either way the pure hatred his mother showed for his playing just makes me feel like she is unhappy in general with his choice of skill to pursue.
Not sure if you guys care, but someone used the mom's audio in a song

(Just the first 17 seconds of the song is her, rest is rapping)
reminds me of that hour long video posted a while back of that kid in texas who didn't want to go and live with his mum and step dad and wanted to stay with his dad in the car
anyone remember it?

Yeah Parker Leverett, that whole thing has turned into quite the mess.
Wow, at least my mom supports me as an artist, actually my whole family does.
This woman is a hypocritical bitch, she probably doesn't do anything useful to society either.
And an artist IS useful to society, they contribute to the nations culture and make things for people to appreciate, thus boosting their performance as a worker.
I mean when I had that shit job at an ISP sorting papers, I would listen to Meshuggah to keep me concentrated and focused on the job.
He should have reported her to the police for stealing his property.
Damn
My mom's the polar opposite
shit like this makes me thankful for my parents and what I have, honestly.
My mom once called me a useless shit to my face just because I was in bed with the laptop on at night. Wasn't even late or anything. She just went into my room, started making an escalating fuss over having the laptop on and always staying up a bit late in the evening, then it went into the "you're a worthless shit" area due to not being able to find a job and shit just flew out the pan.
Next day, I woke up for lunch, she looks at me with a shit munching grin, jokingly asking why was I mad. I genuinely don't know why the fuck didn't I flip out and just went "the fuck did you just ask me you fucking cunt?" throwing her plate on the floor.
I seriously don't understand shit like this really. This guy's mom, my mom (more in the past, since then I've got my shit together and nobody can point a finger at me) and so many others say stupid shit like this to us just because we spend our days at home a little more than other people, while other parents send their kids to do whatever they want, which all ends up in things said parents would never want to see their kids doing.
Not to be one of those "hurr you smoke and drink" kind of people, but last saturday I went out, and I see a bunch of people that went to highschool with me, on the same classes. They were the kind of uptight pricks and bitches that think by reading a book they are automatically better than anyone else, and would judge me by the color of my socks and by how I laughed. On said last saturday, I see all those uptight straight school kids, people who used to look at "night stuff" the wrong way, all smoking and getting drunk. Best part is, even if that isn't that big of a deal (which it sort of isn't, depending on context), they are still awful people. All of the girls in that group are whores but special mention to one who repeatedly cheats on her guy, another woke up half naked and drunk as fuck in the middle of the streets after a party, another had a huge ass argument with multiple guys (one of them apparently sort of famous around here) because of dating all of them at the same time, and another used to actually steal money from her ex-boyfriend. Not boyfriend, ex-boyfriend.
But nope, I guess going outside and hanging out with whoever shows up as "friends", who can give you bad vices and just spending all your parent's money is better than staying home and not being a twat everyone knows as a cunt.
fuck your generation, doing what you enjoy
little shits
Kinda makes me remember my dad got into a hissyfit because he thought my brother's hair wouldn't get him a job.
because its long.
Also this woman is the screaming version of "This generation is so stupid! man I love my generation! I don't accept changes!"

Not everyone finds it easy to find words when a parent (someone you ostensibly look up to) tells you you're worthless. Not to mention that she was already crazy enough to take away his equipment for going to a gig - what's to say she wouldn't have done the same if he'd talked back?
And about the bitching itself, when has grinding people into the ground ever helped them to get out there?

Considering that he was able to move out shortly after and that in another video he says that he bought his gear himself, I think it's safe to say that he had a job.

That's kind of how things went in my household, too. My mom was so controlling that I had to ask to go across the street to hang out with the only friend I had for miles (lived out in the country), and if she agreed I would get an hour.
One. Hour.
And of course, being a kid, keeping track of time is nearly impossible when you're having fun, so I'd come home 5-15 minutes late, and then be forbidden to go again for several weeks.
My step-dad didn't help matters, either. He was more carefree about stuff like going out and having fun and all, but when he got drunk he was an entirely different person, mostly a massive cunt, and even abusive (got a C instead of the As you've been getting? That's a throat-grab-and-throw-into-the-bathtub for you, young man!).
I'm the sort of person who loves to make stuff, to tinker, and they were the kind of people who were supposed to be supportive in those endeavors, but instead opted to ask questions like "why do you want to build this?" or "what's the point of that?", even going so far as to say "that's a stupid idea". Kinda hard to make sense out of it all when they boast about how smart you are in front of their friends.
Meanwhile, my little brother had a rocky period when he became super rebellious (and who wouldn't with parents like that, right?), going so far as to commandeer my step-dad's 92 GMC to go to a football game when he was told he couldn't go (mom and dad of course went out to get drunk, as they did every Friday). He had no license, though did okay up until he tapped a van in the parking lot while backing out. He freaked out, took off, ran from the cops in two counties, until eventually coming home the following morning, and for a time it only got worse from there with him turning to drinking and reckless driving when he turned 21. (thankfully he's past all that now, got married and such, cleaned up his act)
Anyway, I'm rambling. This dude's mom is a cunt.
What the fuck is wrong with parents
My mom is kinda close to this type of shit even though she's a little cooler. Regardless, she has some serious attitude problems and gets defensive very easily when she's wrong. She likes to turn around situations on me whenever she feels like she's being attacked. She assumes people are trying to tell her things when they aren't and whatnot, she will get triggered the moment you say something the least bit incriminating. She will say anything possible to "win" and argument. Most of these arguments are the ones she starts.

again, you don't know the family history at all.
This fellow looks old enough to speak english in a just manner. She doesn't seem totally insane either, and saying it's crazy for a parent to take away his equipment for going against her wishes is ridiculous. Any parent would do this.
The only way a family can function properly is with some communication.
I don't give a shit what she'd have done if he explained himself, but at least it'd show he's got some kind of worthy attitude with his own parents instead of staring blankly and confused.
[editline]25th August 2014[/editline]
he has a computer, and an entire array of guitars and amps setup for him in his own room.
this is at least a grand's worth of equipment, that I highly doubt he bought all from his own back. You tell me how any of his situations couldn't have been prevented had he loved his mum a little more and ignored her bullshit about how the right way to live is.
Families always have problems and you can't afford to let it get worse because you can't tell the world your music is why you wake up in the morning.
