Except for the one in the tiny chopper. Also, the person in the hole (let's call him Dave) gives the guy the sword.

Sooo... basically people over 900 meters from the actual lava turn to ashes on the right side of the volcano, but the man with the crab on the left side, more than 6 times closer are just fine?
