I've never understood the Disney Channel. Like it used to aim at producing entertainment for all ages. Then suddenly they decided "nah we only want tween girls watching our channel now"

That's cause they have Disney XD for boys now, and Disney Jr. for the real young kids.
its still kinda stupid because from what I can tell disney channel is basic cable and XD is one of those real high channels like 872 or something that you probably need a package to see

Why they couldn't keep it all under one channels is weird. Like is it cheaper to have several channels dedicated to certain genres? And yeah Disney XD was a premium channel that you needed to buy for that came out years after Disney Channel was running so until then you had a bunch of girl shows and nothing else. Cartoonnetwork and Nickelodeon was the shit in my childhood and never understood why a channel with Disney on it was dedicated to a certain demographic than for the entire family like their movies.

A couple months ago I went through lots of these movies again that I remember watching. Now being 25, Underwraps I feel still holds up pretty well. Albeit probably more funny now than when I was younger. I was watching it with my sister and I was dying in quite a few spots. Was definitely high on the list compared to other disney channel movies for me.
Can't wait for Doug to cover the HSM Trilogy.
I have fond memories of Brink, Smart House, Genius, etc. They're probably actually pretty awful but yeah, my siblings and I ate all those Disney Chanel movies up.

I really don't mind the mad following it has (including one of my friends), but MAN did they drop the ball on what COULD be a okay idea. Not to mention the villains are like degrading and downright offensive characteristics of the original Disney villains. What were they smoking when they turned Maleficent into someone who uses bad puns or is totally flamboyant? That's not The Mistress of All Evil, that's Yzma!
