REPORT
Steve Bannon Is Making Sure There’s No White House Paper Trail, Says Intel Source
The Trump administration’s chief strategist has already taken control of both policy and process on national security.
"He is running a cabal, almost like a shadow NSC," the official said. He described a work environment where there is little appetite for dissenting opinions, shockingly no paper trail of what’s being discussed and agreed upon at meetings, and no guidance or encouragement so far from above about how the National Security Council staff should be organized.
The intelligence official, who said he was willing to give the Trump administration the benefit of the doubt when it took office, is now deeply troubled by how things are being run.
"They ran all of these executive orders outside of the normal construct," he said, referring to last week’s flurry of draft executive orders on everything from immigration to the return of CIA "black sites."
During the first week of the Trump administration, there were no SOCs, the intelligence official said. In fact, according to him, there is surprisingly very little paper being generated, and whatever paper there is, the NSC staff is not privy to it. He sees this as a deterioration of transparency and accountability.
"It would worry me if written records of these meeting were eliminated, because they contribute to good governance," Waxman said.
Well gee that doesn't sound like a giant power grab or anything
Call me crazy guys but I think worse things than the Muslim bans could be waiting in the wings
Half of the time, I get the impression that my dad is fairly reasonable (Doesn't seem to have a problem with marijuana and is against conversion therapy) despite voting for Trump, so I'm really hoping that he's going to view this as a major problem among the other things that the administration has done.
Call me crazy guys but I think worse things than the Muslim bans could be waiting in the wings
At this point I think you'd have to be crazy not to suspect worse things on the horizon
It's becoming increasingly clear that this new administration intends to seize as much power as possible for themselves as quickly as possible
I cant believe the judicial and legislative branches are just letting this stuff fly so easily, do they seriously not realize that trump's regime is going to strip them of their power next?

Dont worry everyone, there's no way this could be a bad thing! We can't let the enemies know what we're planning!
Ordinarily I'd take reports from a single source with a grain of salt but the combination of Bannons dubious appointment and the rearrangement of the NSC makes it much more plausible.

Not to mention, the hiring freeze on top of them removing people from various high-up positions within the government seems to potentially imply they are looking to consolidate power to a smaller group of people.
Bannon's declared his own desire to "destroy the establishment," but not in the way of getting rid of the two-party system or anything. His is about tearing down the entire state and all the institutions that surround it. His prime goal is to destroy the entire set of institutions that make up the United States. He's heading national security. He's kicked things off with the Muslim ban to fan the flames, and now he's just waiting for a new 9/11 to be the Reichstag Fire to galvanize popular support.
This man is a blatant traitor to our nation and I won't shed a damn tear when the GOP opportunists realize what a critical mistake they've made in letting a resident idiot hand over the entire executive branch to a self-declared white nationalist fascist. The GOP needs to wake their shit up and realize that this isn't about getting some nice feel-good abortion legislation passed, this is about preserving the values that define our country.
Congress needs to rapidly charge this man and Trump with treason the moment anything bad happens. Because bad shit is coming - Bannon wants it to. He wants a terrorist attack on the scale of 9/11. He wants a holy war in the Middle East. Cheney kicked off the Iraq War to enrich his friends - Bannon is kicking this shit off because he genuinely wants to destroy America and rebuild it as his ideal white Christian nation hellbent on exterminating Islam.

the GOP establishment needs to read up on the night of the long knives
I remember shortly after the election I was talking with my father and he put his hand on my back and was like "Yeah, this all sucks, but my first president after I got the right to vote was Reagan, and I was almost afraid he'd cause a nuclear war." And for a time, that kinda' calmed me down. I didn't like Trump and his administration, but then there were plenty of previous presidents that I wouldn't like either, and they all thought they were working to improve our country in their own ways.
I do not believe this is the case for Bannon, Trump, and their acquaintances. I am growing towards the opinion that their very intentions are to the detriment of this country and American values as a whole. My sincere hope is that we get through this with the soul of our nation intact.

lmao
I really wanna know why this thread and the threads about even more evidence surfacing of the Trump administration's Russian involvement are so quietly devoid of any of the usual advocates for the administration

Well, this isn't the first time things like this happen.
Metal Gear doesn't get its inspiration from nowhere.
I suppose it's a first for the US though.
At this rate we'll be hearing about how Elon Musk was secretly building a Metal Gear this whole time

Hideo Kojima is a future seer

... So is our creed marxist-leninist-bannonism now?
Because that sounds pretty rad I'm aboard. Are the republicans going to abandon their strategy of permanent revolution though?

They don't want to see the truth behind what they've voted for, and want to keep their confirmation bias unchallenged.

they can't handle the fact that history will remember them as collaborators of a fascist

Impeach. Now. Before irreparable damage can be done to the United States.

trump's rhetoric of handing over power to the people is really too similar to Armstrong's talking points
kojima predicted the current age of disinformation with MGS2, did he predict Trump with Armstrong?

If MGR:R was a foreshadowing of rising populism and demagoguery in America, then Kojima is a fucking wizard.
I'm pretty sure Kojima didn't write MGR:R

Yeah I was under the impression his involvement was somewhat minimal and the majority was Platinum.

It's already been done. The travel ban, imo, signifies the loss of the War on Terror, it validates extremism and is maybe the point of no return for the US in this war of ideology that it seems to think it can win through excessive violence and dividing not only its self from the world, but its own population as well.

I'm not sure about his assosiates, but Trump doesn't even have the intelligence to destroy the US.
trump is just too fucking stupid to cause anything too permanent from happening.
I mean yeah the POTUS isn't all powerful of course, but neither are his assosiates
