I'm surprised they aren't giving out a special event hat for people that play this...
Minecraft is great, and I believe that this blog post has more to do than show the map and mention minecraft. I think they want to get in contact with Notch.
Valve buys minecraft, and it's devs, makes a source version of it somehow.
THAT would be awesome.
That looks like a fun map to play in.
No, I am just happy to see you.

You would be correct. From Notch's blog:

Cool blog post, but I already knew about Minecraft, and I just want them to release the Polycount packs.
notch said he wanted to work with valve if he ever got a chance. v:v:v
When worlds collide
make tf2 blocky and an ingame editor and then go into fight mode ad cap points, that would be awesome.
Didn't see that coming.
I'm so happy that my favorite large game company is helping out my favorite indie developer. :neckbeard:
I guess I should give Minecraft a chance once.
Minecraft on steam?
Is that a boner in your pocket or are you just happy... wait a minute... :(
Never played Minecraft, nor was ever interested in it.
I don't want to get addicted. :ohdear:
I once got an email from Brandon Reinhart. What I sent him in a reply helped fix a bug in TF2.
I like where this is going.

Minecraft on Steam would be a great idea. They would have to work with Valve on giving all current Minecraft owners a steam activation key, though. I like how minecraft is one of those "Pay once, unlock absolutely everything" games.
I really like the free version. How much does it cost in U.S. dollars?

Pretty sure it is 10 dollars.
I've been debating for the past 2 weeks whether to buy it or not.
I have secret dreams of getting Minecraft up on Steam once it’s more complete. -The blog
:toot: It'll probably be a while though, considering how the game is in Alpha.

The game costs 10 euros according to the site, but it says nothing on US dollars.
Minecraft on steam?
Yes, yes and yes!!!
10 euros is $13 usd, and after several hours playing the classic version, I'm considering buying it.

That conversion is from Google so don't get too mad at me if I'm wrong.
10 euros = $12.61

The game currently proclaims on the main menu 'NOT ON STEAM!' but Notch says that he wants it on steam.
Once it's on steam it will be easy to track who buys/plays it and then there could be a hat.

Wait when its complete?
Thats ages away!
They're going to work with Notch to create an infinitely procedurally generated Source engine. In the future, Half-Life 3, L4D4, and a later TeamFortress 2 update will all have infinitely generated levels.
I think we will see a Minecraft inspired game from valve in the next decade or so like Alien Swarm if they do hire him.

! Only a medic can heal the infestation!
