I had the Pro version of these (which look way better visually btw) and they didn't fucking work, at all. The drivers for these things are just fucking garbage. I dunno if it was just my set but the fucking things were undetectable by the driver installer and thus I couldn't use them and when I first got them and the drivers would soft lock my computer when trying to install them. I think I got them to work for a few months after days of trying different shit to get them to work and then I reformatted and they never worked again. Fucking garbage. Ended up smashing them to pieces with a golf club and binning them and I gotta say it felt good. Went out and got the X-55's because I at least knew that since they were relatively new the drivers had a higher chance of being more reliable. Haven't had a problem with them yet.
I got the Pro version too and if I plug it in a USB 3.0 port it crashes the display (!) driver. In a 2.0 port it's fine tho
I kinda regret getting the Pro system. I find I have too much shit to set-up and rather I used some basic logitech and keyboard for most games.
I got the pro version and I am completely happy with them. The driver conflicted with my USB3.0 driver though, but one I resolved that issue it works like a charm, plus its fucking gorgeous looking
Saitek's QC has gone to shit ever since they were bought by MadCatz. I've heard good things about CH Products Fighter/Combat stick, but it's a bit expensive for such an old design. They're tough as shit though and will last much longer than the Saitek
Original pre-MadCatz X52 user here. Works great, haven't really had any major issues. Got to leave the control panel open while using it for all of the functions to work properly, though.
