Chinese authorities just now caught on to this phenomenon and have accidentally caught at least 30 schoolchildren smuggling iPhones. Hearing this news I was afraid Chinese authorities were now starting to realize that young people, in particular, like new technology at cheap prices. Luckily for all of us who happen to smuggle iPhones into China or Vietnam it turns out that they are indeed still oblivious to the fact almost everyone knows this is a way to make a quick buck or go on a free holiday.
smugglers target the children -- some as young as 10 years old -- and get them to put electronics in their book bags, the report claims.
Hilarious that they think smugglers have to target children, I can't tell you how many times I've walked through security with a backpack full of iPhones! Wait, I used a backpack, I'm young, I go to school, my older brother asked me to do it. In other news Comrade_Eko is a 10 year old Chinese schoolboy. While I go look in a mirror and figure out what country I'm in you can read the source: here

smuggling in all these blatently genuine iphones, and shamelessly poisoning the counterfeit market with originals.
Oh sweet, OP is actually a smuggler himself. How many hauls have you done?

In china they're cheaper so that is all you'll get for them, spending money (a lot though) In Vietnam we can sell them for so much that we make all of our money back from the plane tickets, and we don't even have to smuggle them. Each person is allowed 2 of each device so we have 6 iphones and 6 ipads, which pays for 3 roundtrip plane tickets and enough money to last each of us a month. It's hilarious how they "catch" people with these billion iphones in their backpack. I'm almost certain they are staged, everyone I know just sells the amount you're legally allowed to pass with.
