Featuring... THE GAMECUBE CONTROLLER ADAPTER!
...
Oh, and Geoff Keighley is the host.

Maybe I have an asshole sense of humor, but all those player portraits look just so..I don't know, "smash community". I was just laughing.
Also I am predicting little mac to absolutely trash everyone if someone figures him out, due to being limited to final destination I think. He absolutely dominates vertical space.
Oh jesus items enabled for the first few rounds, HAHAHAH. I am wondering if smash players will be really butthurt about this. Oh this is going to be amazing to watch now.

I can say this is one character reveal I honestly didn't see coming. What do you think his final smash will be?

It seems like Final Destination may be reserved for the finale, while the other matches are on normal stages with items enabled. It'd be a hell of a broadcast to demonstrate what the new game is like for everyone.

I just can't wait for some asshole whos not doing good to get a random snorlax pokeball and then doritopope making some hilarious misinformed comment like "What an amazing move".
It's gonna be hype guys.
Great, now if I ever want to go to tournaments for SSB4, its going to be forced to use a gamecube controller. The Pro Controller for the Wii U and Classic Pro are fine enough for competitive gameplay, the gamecube controller is just catering to people who can't adapt to using a new controller, despite the fact nobody seems to want the N64 controller.
Good thing I didn't throw away my old GCN controller.

Don't some tournaments let people bring their own controllers so long as they don't do shit like turbo buttons?
they didnt fucking invite mew2king?
heresy
I wonder if that GCN controller with the Smash Bros logo is something they'll be selling.

M2K has a bit of a history of bad behavior. From a business standpoint, would you want that kind of player promoting your game?

At least you got Pope Dewrito the Thirst as the host. Surely that's good enough? :v:

Depends if the Wii U's hardware can Emulate the Game Cube properly. Just because a console is newer does not mean it can run old games.
I have to say, I think the GC controller was the best console controller ever made (and the Gamecube the best console). Is it too much to ask for Nintendo to stop messing about with gimmicky shit and show Sony and Microsoft how it's done?

E3 is only 11 days away.
Let us pray:

Geoff Keighley? The guy who seems to despise nintendo is hosting an event for a nintendo product?
What the fuck.
yeah he was attending some tournament and some local dude allowed mew2king to sleep over at his house... and mew2king left jizz in the bed
he also apparently puked on somebody at a tournament in japan

The only thing that could get in the way is the processor archetecture. The gamecube was PowerPC based, and the Wii U is x86 based. x86 based computers can emulate GCN no sweat though, so it might be possible still.
No Wobbles? It's not a Smash bros event without Wobbles.
teamsp00ky when
Oh man Doritos Pope how are you gonna pull this off ? I bet he is gonna be in smash bro's with doritos and mountain dew's as his attacks. :v:
Might buy the gamecube adapter, and hoping for a character reveal that's good.

Not exactly though. Even Dolphin still cannot emulate the Star Wars Rogue Squadron games properly because of how hacky the game was. Apparently it did things with the hardware they cannot figure out.
Love the sexy music for the gamecube controller.
Can't wait to see how they'll pulls off the wombo combo in this installment of smash.

It's a beefed up version of the Wii's hardware IIRC.
