It is actually worth a lot, their called "tags" and they get your video noticed and you get a lot more search views

This intro has a lot of historical stuff in there and I take it your channel is about gaming. So yeah I do not see the "sense" for that intro and for intros in general.

I put my intro as this for a sort of remembrance of some historical events and some famous figures so it gives my videos a bit of a sense about them

If you seriously want an intro on your videos, then keep the intro relevant to your content. If you make gameplay videos, then let the intro be about gameplay. If you make videos about historical events, then let the intro be about historical events.
Also rule of thumb, keep your intros below 9 seconds. If they are any longer than 9 seconds, then you annoy the viewer and you make them lose their interest. You don't want that. If you really care for your viewers, then you don't even make an intro, you make an outro. This means you are certain the viewer doesn't lose interest and that they'll [i]might[/i] watch your videos, if they feel the content is related to their hunger.

If you make an outro, then you don't want an intro on your videos (other than if it's <2 seconds). If you want to shine up your channel, then create a banner and create [b]relevant, nice looking[/b] thumbnails that aren't full of text and pictures of yourself with a funny face on, like most people seem to do these days. Simple, maybe 2-3 words is all you want.

Like, do you have that little personality you need a long intro? Nowadays totalbiscuits intro is about 2 seconds, because you can immediately tell who it is.

Don't know what you do and 15 seconds for a Youtube intro is always a little long for me.
Intros are for TV. On YouTube, you already know what you are watching from the title. You either do a personalized intro for each video, or do nothing.

It's also description abuse, and it's against Youtube's [B]T[/B]erms [B]O[/B]f [B]S[/B]ervice and channels get shut down by it.
Also it's fucking annoying.
