btw, the gun was unloaded and if you watch carefully he [I]threw [/I]it at the officer. Thankfully the officer only shot the guy in the arm (you can see his crazy reflexes in that thumbnail) and he's being charged with assault of an officer.

Honestly, all the dash cam / body cam videos of cops getting shot for no reason at traffic stops immensely increased my respect for law enforcement. I still have issues with the institution because obviously every police force on Earth has some level of fuckery going on, but god damn. That dude's reflexes are incredible.

Well obviously if I had to choose between the cop and the guy the cop wins every time if a death is inevitable. But I am glad it didn't come to this and maybe this near death incident + prison time will put some wisdom into that idiot's skull.

Not to mention, I'd rather the police not need to take a life in the line of duty. I saw a video somewhat recently of how hard it hit an officer after taking a life and it is something I'm glad that this cop didn't need to suffer through.
