Tesla would be proud.
Eh, could have done the theme for a better show but its pretty good.
there is no better show, dr who 4 lyf
Tesla + Adam + Doctor Who = I FUCKING CAME.
Tesla + Adam + Doctor Who = I FUCKING CAME.
No you didn't.
No you didn't.
Hyperbole, look it up.
I haven't seen the Mythbusters in so long since I stopped watching TV. Mythbusters is still up right?
I'm not really strong on the physics behind this, but if the person inside the Faraday cage touched the sides of it, would it be fatal for them?
Probably wouldn't end very well for them. Wonder where this happened, and what else they were doing on stage. I miss Mythbusters, same as above, I've stopped watching TV.
As far as I know it's perfectly safe. And I should know 'cause I'm and engineer, not the electrical one but still... The current would rather go through the metal cage than through him, because it always goes where there is less resistance, and the skin is more resistive than metal.
Tesla + Adam + Doctor Who = I FUCKING CAME.
You forgot Faraday :smith: [editline]26th August 2011[/editline]
I'm not really strong on the physics behind this, but if the person inside the Faraday cage touched the sides of it, would it be fatal for them?
Short answer: No.
I'm not really strong on the physics behind this, but if the person inside the Faraday cage touched the sides of it, would it be fatal for them?
not fatal, but it would hurt pretty bad. iirc tesla coils put out high voltage but low amps, so it's not fatal.
I dont know how this works. How can he control what frequencies the Tesla cols give off? If it was anyone else, I'd say its fake :v:
I'm not really strong on the physics behind this, but if the person inside the Faraday cage touched the sides of it, would it be fatal for them?
No but it'd get very hot and hurt like a bitch
not fatal, but it would hurt pretty bad. iirc tesla coils put out high voltage but low amps, so it's not fatal.
Low resistance cage = probably no current jumping through you.. probably A lot of the guys that do this wear an insulated lining under their Faraday suits just in case
I dont know how this works. How can he control what frequencies the Tesla cols give off? If it was anyone else, I'd say its fake :v:
It's not fake. He's not controlling the frequencies in real-time, though. I'm fairly certain they just have a program, designed to control the frequency over time. It's an inherent characteristic of Tesla coils, and it's been done enough times to convince someone it's not fake. Yeah I know it isnt, but it just seems amazing to me that were able to use pure electricity to make different sounds, and make music out of those noises
